Note: You can also select Windows Messaging and Games if desired by the site.
10. Click Next to proceed.
The Windows NT Setup screen indicates that installing Windows NT networking is
about to begin.
11. Click Next to proceed to the next screen.
A screen appears with the option Computer will Participate in Network selected. The
following check boxes also appear:
• Wired to the network
• Remote access to the network
12. Select Wired to the network, then click Next.
A screen appears with a check box labeled Install Microsoft Internet Information
Server already checked.
13. Click Next.
A screen for selecting network adapters appears.
14. Select network adapters as follows:
a. Click Start Search.
The SysKonnect SK-NET FDDI PCI adapter is detected and added to the list box.
b. Click Select from list.
c. Click Have disk.
d. Insert the diskette labeled “Aquanta DR2 Intel Ether Express PRO 100+”
(38160685–001) in the drive.
e. Click OK.
The Intel EtherExpress PRO adapter is detected and displayed in the list box.
f. Click OK.
Both adapter types (Syskonnect FDDI and Intel EtherExpress PRO) should now
be listed.
g. Click Next.
A Network Protocols screen appears. The only required protocol is the TCP/IP
protocol. The NWLink IPX/SPX compatible transport and NetBEUI protocol are not
required for initial installation, but they may be selected if required by the site.
15. Deselect any protocols not required.
16. Ensure that the TCP/IP protocol is selected. If not, click TCP/IP protocol to select it.
