6.<strong>4.2</strong>. Stressing of tendons<br />

For stressing the tendons, a properly<br />

secured scaffolding 0.50 m wide and of 2<br />

kN/m 2<br />

load-bearing capacity is required at<br />

the edge of the slab. For the jacks used<br />

there is a space requirement behind the<br />

anchorage of 1 m along the axis and 120 mm<br />

radius about it. All stressing operations are<br />

recorded for each tendon. The primary<br />

objective is to stress to the required load; the<br />

extension is measured for checking<br />

purposes and is compared with the<br />

calculated value.
