Dr. L.H Hiranandani hospital says won’t waste vax, to

give booster shots to staff, seniors

Powai's L H Hiranandani Hospital to give

booster shot to healthcare workers and

the elderly. The hospital currently has

10,000 shots of Covishield costing nearly

Rs 63 lakh. India still doesn't have a

policy on booster shots, although many

in Mumbai and several other cities have

skipped CoWin to take a third dose.


Hiranandani hospital reopen covid wards as pandemic

grips the city again

There are 944 oxygen and ventilator beds

available, compared to 8,022 hospital

beds. In Mumbai, hospitals are reopening

Covid-19 wards and adding more ICU

beds. Hiranandani Hospital CEO Sujit

Chatterjee: "We have started calling back

our staff who had gone on vacation as

we look to create additional space".


Hiranandani Hospital first private facility in Mumbai to have PSA

oxygenator plant

Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital at Powai has

become the first private hospital in Mumbai

to have its own PSA oxygenator. The machine

extracts oxygen from the atmospheric air, by

a process of filtration of nitrogen, carbon

dioxide and other impurities. Maharashtra's

Minister for Tourism and Environment,

Aditya Thackeray, virtually inaugurated the

plant.
