THE GRENADINES VIA VESSEL<br />

AIM: The safe entry of vessels into St. Vincent and the Grenadines in a manner that reduces the risk<br />

of the importation and subsequent transmission of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadine s.<br />

OBJECTIVES:<br />

1. To establish the risk of arriving vessels and passengers introducing new COVID-19 to SVG;<br />

2. To minimize the exposure of residents of SVG to newCOVID-19;<br />

3. Early identification of potential exposure to new COVID-19, and<br />

4. Early containment of new COVID-19.<br />

PROCEDURE PRE-ARRIVAL:<br />

1. The POE's currently accessible are Blue Lagoon, Wallilabou, <strong>Bequia</strong>, Union,<br />

Canouan and Port Kingstown.<br />

2. The Approved Quarantine Areas for mooring on arrival are at a) Young Island Cut,<br />

St Vincent, b) North Admiralty Bay, <strong>Bequia</strong>, c) Clifton, Union Island and d)<br />

Canouan Marina.<br />

ENTERING BY YACHT<br />

TWO (2) DEATHS<br />

Eight (8) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from seventy (70) samples collected on<br />

Thursday <strong>December</strong> 16 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 11.4%. Ten (10) new rapid antigen<br />

positive results were reported from flu clinics on <strong>December</strong> 16 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Eleven (11) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from seventy-nine (79) samples collected<br />

on Friday <strong>December</strong> 17 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity 13.9%. Seven (7) new rapid antigen<br />

positive results were reported from flu clinics on <strong>December</strong> 17 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Seven (7) new COVID-19 positive case was reported from one hundred and two (102) samples<br />

collected on Saturday <strong>December</strong> 18 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity 6.9%. Seven (7) new rapid<br />

antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on <strong>December</strong> 18 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

No new COVID-19 positive case was reported from twenty-three (23) samples collected on<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently two (2) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility. One<br />

(1) patient is fully vaccinated, and the other patient is unvaccinated. Ten (10) patients are admitted<br />

to the COVID-19 ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. One (1) patient is fully vaccinated<br />

and nine (9) are unvaccinated.<br />

COVID-19 DEATHS<br />

Two (2) new deaths were recorded over the reporting period. A 52-year-old female, died at home<br />

after a respiratory illness and tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday 17 th <strong>December</strong> <strong>2021</strong> as part<br />

of the postmortem assessment. This patient was determined to have died from a COVID<br />

pneumonia.<br />

An 80-year-old male with no underlying conditions, tested positive for COVID-19 on <strong>December</strong><br />

18 th , <strong>2021</strong>, was admitted to the isolation ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and died later<br />

that day of COVID-19 pneumonia.<br />

Both patients were unvaccinated. Their deaths bring the death toll from COVID-19 to seventynine<br />

(79).<br />

COVID-19 SUMMARY<br />

Twelve (12) recoveries were noted over the reporting period. Five hundred and eighty-two (582)<br />

cases are currently active and seventy-nine (79) persons with COVID-19 have died. Five thousand,<br />

(168) samples collected on Monday <strong>December</strong> 13 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 11.9%.<br />

Twelve (12) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on <strong>December</strong> 13 th ,<br />

<strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Nine (9) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and fifty-three (153)<br />

samples collected on Tuesday <strong>December</strong> 14 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity 5.9%. Six (6) new<br />

(145) samples collected on Tuesday November 30 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 11.7%.<br />

Sixteen (16) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 30 th ,<br />

<strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently four (4) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility. All<br />

NINE (9) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

Nine (9) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and nineteen (119)<br />

samples collected on Tuesday November 16 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 7.6%. Eight (8)<br />

new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 16 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently ten (10) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility. All<br />

are unvaccinated. Twelve (12) patients are admitted to the COVID-19 wards at the Milton Cato<br />

Memorial Hospital. All are unvaccinated.<br />

COVID-19 DEATHS<br />

No new deaths were recorded over the reporting period.<br />

COVID-19 SUMMARY<br />

No new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One thousand two hundred and fiftytwo<br />

(1252) cases are currently active and seventy-three (73) persons with COVID-19 have died.<br />

Five thousand three hundred and sixty-eight (5368) cases of COVID-19 and four thousand and<br />

forty-three (4043) recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March<br />

2020.<br />

In view of the confirmed presence of the Delta, Mu and Gamma variants in the community and<br />

the significant increase in the number of new infections, transmission, severe COVID-19 disease<br />

and deaths, strict enforcement and compliance with all protocols and recommendations by<br />

everyone is strongly recommended. The correct and consistent use of masks, avoidance of<br />

crowds, physical distancing, proper hand sanitizing and immunization with available vaccines<br />

have all been proven to significantly reduce the risk of being infected, getting sick and or dying<br />

THIRTY-THREE (33) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

ONE (1) DEATH<br />

Thirty-three (33) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from two hundred and ninety-two<br />

(292) samples collected on Monday November 15 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 11.3%.<br />

Nine (9) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 15 th ,<br />

<strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently ten (10) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility. All<br />

are unvaccinated. Twelve (12) patients are admitted to the COVID-19 wards at the Milton Cato<br />

Memorial Hospital. All are unvaccinated.<br />

COVID-19 DEATHS<br />

A 71-year-old male who tested positive for COVID-19 on November 3 rd , <strong>2021</strong>, died on<br />

November 17 th , <strong>2021</strong>, of COVID-19 pneumonia. The deceased was unvaccinated. His death<br />

brings the death toll from COVID-19 to seventy-three (73).<br />

COVID-19 SUMMARY<br />

Sixty-two (62) new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One thousand two hundred<br />

and forty-three (1243) cases are currently active and seventy-three (73) persons with COVID-19<br />

have died. Five thousand three hundred and fifty-nine (5359) cases of COVID-19 and four<br />

thousand and forty-three (4043) recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines<br />

since March 2020.<br />

In view of the confirmed presence of the Delta, Mu and Gamma variants in the community and<br />

the significant increase in the number of new infections, transmission, severe COVID-19 disease<br />

and deaths, strict enforcement and compliance with all protocols and recommendations by<br />

everyone is strongly recommended. The correct and consistent use of masks, avoidance of<br />

FIFTY-SIX (56) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

ONE (1) DEATH<br />

Fifty-two (52) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and seventy-eight<br />

(178) samples collected on Friday November 12 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 29.2%.<br />

Fifteen (15) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 13 th ,<br />

<strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Three (3) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from eighty-six (86) samples collected on<br />

Saturday November 13 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 3.5%. Two (2) new rapid antigen<br />

positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 13 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

One (1) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from seventeen (17) samples collected on<br />

Sunday November 14 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 5.9%. No new rapid antigen positive<br />

results were reported from flu clinics on November 14 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently twelve (12) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility.<br />

Eleven (11) patients are unvaccinated, and one (1) patient is partially vaccinated. Nineteen (19)<br />

patients are admitted to the COVID-19 wards at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. Seventeen<br />

(17) patients are unvaccinated, and two (2) patients are partially vaccinated.<br />

COVID-19 DEATHS<br />

A 72-year-old male who tested positive for COVID-19 on October 31 st , <strong>2021</strong>, died on November<br />

13 th , <strong>2021</strong>, of COVID-19 pneumonia. The deceased was unvaccinated and had known underlying<br />

conditions. His death brings the death toll from COVID-19 to seventy-two (72).<br />

deceased was partially vaccinated and had underlying conditions. Their deaths bring the death<br />

toll from COVID-19 to seventy-one (71).<br />

Twenty-three (23) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and forty-six<br />

(146) samples collected on Friday November 5 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 15.8%. Nine<br />

(9) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 5 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Three (3) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from thirty-three (33) samples collected<br />

on Saturday November 6 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 9.1%. Two (2) new rapid antigen<br />

positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 6 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Five (5) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from twelve (12) samples collected on<br />

Sunday November 7 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 41.7%. No new rapid antigen positive<br />

TWENTY-THREE (23) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

Twenty-three (23) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and thirty-five<br />

(135) samples collected on Wednesday November 3 rd , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 17%. Nine<br />

(9) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 3 rd , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently eleven (11) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility.<br />

Ten (10) are unvaccinated and one (1) is fully vaccinated. Twenty-five (25) patients are admitted<br />

to the COVID-19 wards at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. Twenty-two (22) patients are<br />

unvaccinated, two (2) patients are partially vaccinated, and one (1) patient is fully vaccinated.<br />

COVID-19 DEATHS<br />

No deaths were recorded over the reporting period.<br />

COVID-19 SUMMARY<br />

No new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One thousand and eighty-four (1084)<br />

cases are currently active and sixty-nine (69) persons with COVID-19 have died. Five thousand<br />

and seventy-three (5073) cases of COVID-19 and three thousand nine hundred and twenty (3920)<br />

recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020.<br />

In view of the confirmed presence of the Delta, Mu and Gamma variants in the community and<br />

the significant increase in the number of new infections, transmission, severe COVID-19 disease<br />

and deaths, strict enforcement and compliance with all protocols and recommendations by<br />

everyone is strongly recommended. The correct and consistent use of masks, avoidance of crowds,<br />

physical distancing, proper hand sanitizing and immunization with available vaccines have all been<br />

proven to significantly reduce the risk of being infected, getting sick and or dying from the<br />

THIRTY-EIGHT (38) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

Twenty-five (25) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and nine (109)<br />

samples collected on Monday November 1 st , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 22.9%. Thirteen (13)<br />

new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 1 st , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Thirteen (13) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and twenty (120)<br />

samples collected on Tuesday November 2 nd , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 10.8%. Twentyfour<br />

(24) new rapid antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on November 2 nd , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

There are currently seven (7) patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility. All<br />

are unvaccinated. Twenty-five (25) patients are admitted to the COVID-19 wards at the Milton<br />

SEVENTEEN (17) NEW COVID-19 CASES<br />

ONE (1) DEATH<br />

Thirteen (13) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from seventy-four (74) samples<br />

collected on Saturday October 30 th , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 17.6%. Twelve (12) new rapid<br />

antigen positive results were reported from flu clinics on October 30 th , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

Four (4) new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from seventeen (17) samples collected on<br />

Sunday October 31 st , <strong>2021</strong>, resulting in a positivity of 23.5%. No new rapid antigen positive results<br />

were reported from flu clinics on October 31 st , <strong>2021</strong>.<br />

HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS<br />

Eight hundred and six (806) new recoveries were noted over the reporting period. One thousand<br />

and twenty-nine (1029) cases are currently active and sixty-nine (69) persons with COVID-19<br />
