For more than 10 years, <strong>BLOWHARD</strong> has exclusively manufactured <strong>PPV</strong> fans for<br />

firefighters that exceed the previous industry standard. <strong>BLOWHARD</strong> introduced<br />

the first battery-powered fan to the market in 2011.<br />

Our small and lightweight <strong>PPV</strong> positive pressure ventilator<br />

QUICKEE is based on the proven technology of our<br />

successful BH-20 model, but offers more power in an even<br />

smaller and lighter housing and is the most efficient and<br />

effective unit on the market. It has been developed<br />

precisely to meet the requirements at the point of use and<br />

has been designed for rapid extinguishing success. <br />

The easy transport and low weight allow the unit to be<br />

deployed quickly while conserving the strength of your<br />

rescue team. Due to its compact dimensions, it is very<br />

space-saving, which allows carrying other important things<br />

on the vehicle, e.g. several fans (on the same area of a<br />

gasoline fan) for a strategic or larger operation.<br />

Our big power model for larger fire sources or simply<br />

when pure power is needed. As a battery-powered fan,<br />

COMMANDO is sometimes more powerful than some<br />

gasoline-powered fans. Yet COMMANDO is lightweight<br />

and ergonomic enough to be set up and operated by a<br />

Electronic "gimmicks" are of little use because the concentration<br />

operating the equipment. Even without technical training, the<br />

equipment must be easy to operate. <br />

High-Flow Jet Technology! <br />

<br />

The High-Flow-Jet technology developed by <strong>BLOWHARD</strong> is an<br />

optimized jet pressure in combination with a higher air<br />

entrainment capacity of the air flow. This enables a<br />

correspondingly higher air performance of the unit with lower<br />

power consumption at the same time. The advantages are<br />

obvious. More efficient ventilation of the fire scene, more<br />

resource-saving, less expensive use, with increased safety for the<br />

operating personnel. <br />

<br />

But what does entrainment mean? <br />

The airflow is not only used to clear the source of the fire of smoke<br />

and gases for optimal visibility. Part of the airflow is used to seal<br />

the air intake, usually a door or window, to prevent ineffective<br />

ventilation and backflow. To do this, however, you want to use not<br />

only the airflow that the fan produces at an appropriate pressure,<br />

but also the ambient air that the produced airflow entrains or just<br />

takes with it.<br />

<br />

If this "entrainment" is well solved, it leads to a higher pressure<br />

inside the building, because the force of the air flow can be<br />

concentrated on it. Conventional ventilation units with nozzle<br />

technology can sometimes build up more pressure, but often have<br />

only a limited area at the point of use that can be covered. Other<br />

conventional blowers with cone airflow can cover large areas, but<br />

have limited pressure that can be built up at the effective source of<br />

the fire.


<strong>BLOWHARD</strong>'s innovative High-Flow-Jet technology combines both<br />

and was developed and continuously optimized precisely for these<br />

operations, together with firefighters from all over the world. <br />

Relationship between air velocity, air volume and air pressure<br />

Traditionally, the CFM value (m3/h) is used as an indicator to<br />

determine the effectiveness and strength of a <strong>PPV</strong> fan and often<br />

the values given are at zero pressure (AMCA). The CFM value<br />

(m3/h) is correct and important for making initial comparisons<br />

between different products. Nevertheless, it says too little about<br />

the effectiveness of the fan at the remote fire site. The air velocity<br />

alone is also not a suitable comparative value, because excessively<br />

high velocities can cause turbulence and the application site is not<br />

ventilated effectively. <br />

<br />

More decisive than air velocity or air volume is the optimal and<br />

targeted interaction of these two variables. Only in this way can<br />

the overpressure resulting from the air movement be created at<br />

the site of operation during successful ventilation. It is the<br />

pressure that effectively pushes smoke and fumes out of the room<br />

and thus the danger zone. <strong>BLOWHARD</strong> fans with High-Flow Jet<br />

technology maximize this pressure in a building to achieve<br />

maximum ventilation success. <br />

<strong>BLOWHARD</strong> High-Flow-Jet technology not only relies on pure<br />

power of the <strong>PPV</strong> fan, but also relies on smart use of available<br />

resources. Even though on paper the data is the same, the<br />

Blowhard fans achieve greater efficiency in supporting and<br />

Why Blowhard uses integrated batteries<br />

<br />

Integrated batteries require less space on the vehicle than<br />

replaceable batteries and their charging technology. Due to<br />

higher power transfer and less power loss at the electrical contact<br />

points, they allow, together with power electronics, a better<br />

thermal control of the batteries, which has a positive effect on the<br />

battery runtime or battery life and thus on a longer ventilation<br />

time.<br />

In addition, built-in batteries provide better protection against<br />

dust, smoke and water, which makes the device more durable and<br />

reliable. Due to built-in batteries, the device is IP-67 certified and<br />

also meets the exact requirements you will encounter at the<br />

scene. <br />

battery charge. With a commercially available battery fan with<br />

replaceable batteries, you would need to carry at least 8<br />
