children. I love being part of this community and helping children 

learn and grow. My own journey began in the daycare preschool 

field because I was unhappy with the care and education I was 

receiving for my own children who are now 24, 21, 11, and 10. 

I have been blessed to have a large facility in El Dorado Hills 

where I employ 35 loving teachers and care for 200 children. We 

offer education and care for babies, Preschoolers, Pre-K, private 

Kindergarten, homework tutor club and transportation for school 

agers. Don’t be fooled by our large size, our teachers make each 

classroom homey and warm. It has been a bonus to be on an 

acre. The Gift of Kids outdoor area gives the kids space to explore, 

garden, and play on age appropriate playgrounds. 

The teachers at The Gift of Kids Daycare and Preschool include 

talent that brings us music, yoga, and even Spanish on a daily basis. 

Teachers here are all educated in child development, CPR and First 

Aid certified, and make it a priority to continue their education. 

Dance, soccer, and karate professionals also come to the school. 

Over the years, not only have we focused on love and education 

here at the school, but we have also been involved in sponsoring 

many local non-profit groups such as 3 Strands Global, American 

Cancer Society, Sports clubs, many local elementary through High 

Schools, Serrano Kids movie night, and even contributed to the 

Concerts in the Park at the CSD. 

When not at The Gift of Kids taking care of the school, my hobbies 

include running, boxing, hiking, coaching soccer, softball and 

basketball, and enjoying anything outdoors. 

We are proud that we never closed during this pandemic and have 

taken all protocols to the highest level with the kids and their 

families in mind.

with saloons and drinking establishments that were 

plentiful during the gold rush era and through the turn 

of the century. However, 1920 marked the beginning 

of prohibition, a time when the legal manufacture 

of alcohol was halted but the demand for spirits 

continued. Sacramento did not give up its libation so 

easily and, as a community, rebelled against the new 

law. At a time when alcohol was illegal, Sacramento

to get drink in the State of California. 

While 1933 marked the end of prohibition, it wasn’t 

until 2014 when spirits were once again legally 

produced in Sacramento County. Gold River

on July 2, 3 & 4 brought 22,000+ fans, volunteers and
