They say a picture’s worth a thousand words. So what about actually seeing the thing in front of you?
How many words—for that matter, how many pictures—does it take to capture that feeling?
During the year when none of us were able to sit in a live theatre audience, we may have answered
that: you can’t. The sensation of live performance, intimately experienced in a shared space, can’t be
captured or reproduced. When you sit down here, when you hear the murmur of the audience around
you, when everything goes dark for a moment, and then a human being walks out onto the stage—
It’s singular. If you haven’t signed on for this whole season yet, you should. Every one of these nights is
distinct and memorable, and every one you miss is just gone. Make a plan, put the dates on the
calendar—save some money while you’re at it. It’s worth it.

SENA BURROW (Tiny Tim) is making
her TheatreSquared debut. She is a 2nd
grader at Happy Hollow and sings with the
University of Arkansas Children's Choir. She
also takes piano lessons and dances at Art
of Motion.
LEVI CAWTHON (Tiny Tim) makes his
TheatreSquared debut in A Christmas Carol.
His prior credits include Popcorn Vendor in
the musical Farnahan’s Circus and Raccoon
in Magical Forest. A third grader at The
New School in Fayetteville, he loves koalas
and watching the Marvel Universe with his
brother, Dilan.
CHARLIE CLARK (Tiny Tim) makes his
TheatreSquared debut in A Christmas Carol.
Charlie recently appeared as Alien Dad in
a Theatre Camp production (Fayetteville
Parks & Rec). His credits include
Baby Jesus (Christmas Pageant, St. Paul’s
Episcopal Church) and countless at-home

SARAH COREY (Ghost of Christmas Past/
Ensemble) returns to TheatreSquared,
where she recently appeared as Rachel
Guerrero in José Cruz González’s The

BECK CRABB (Dick Wilkens/Ensemble)
returns to TheatreSquared having
previously appeared as Jack Sutton
in A Christmas Carol, John Webster in
Shakespeare in Love, and Big Kid/Others in
Matilda the Musical. Previous community
credits include Gavroche in Les Miserables
(Bentonville High School) and a Party Boy
in The Nutcracker (NWA Conservatory of
Classical Ballet). He is currently a Freshman
at Bentonville High School.
TRENT ANDERS DAHLIN (Fred/Young
Scrooge/Ensemble) returns to Theatre
Squared where he appeared in 2019’s
production of A Christmas Carol as
Bob Cratchit. He has acted for several
seasons at the Tony Award-winning Utah
Shakespeare Festival, at which he was
recently seen as Feste in Twelfth Night and
Prospero in their educational tour of The
Tempest. His other favorite roles include
Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility, Gould
in Grey Gardens, Malcolm in Macbeth (Lyric
Repertory Theatre), and John Wilkes Booth
in Assassins (Southern Utah University). He
also frequently works as a music director,
composer, and musician for various
professional theatres across the country.
CARY HITE (Cratchit/Ensemble) returns
to TheatreSquared, where previous credits
include Peter and the Starcatcher & The
Champion. New York theater credits include
Hell & High Water (Hudson Guild Theater),
Side Effects May Vary (The Independent
Theater), and The Quiet Model (Jewel Box
Theater), Bordertown (14th Street Theater),
Master Harold & the Boys (Alice's Tea Cup).
Regional credits include Fences (O’Kane
Theater), The Diary of Black Men (Louisville
Palace), Jitney (Ensemble Theater), and Good

JADE HOLLAND (Fan/Ensemble)is making
her third appearance with TheatreSquared
after last appearing as Amanda in Matilda:
The Musical and Ivonka in Once. Previous
roles include a Mouse in the Royal Winnipeg
Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker (Walton
Arts Center), a Poodle in 101 Dalmatians
Kids, Young Kangaroo in Seussical the
Musical, Mrs. Claus in The Magical Forest,
and the Ringmaster in Farnahan’s Circus (The
New School). She is a member of the High
Pointe Performing Arts Studio Company in
Bentonville and is a fifth grader at The New
School in Fayetteville.
MICHELLE JASSO (Librarian) returns to
TheatreSquared, having previously appeared
as Soyla Reyna in American Mariachi. She
was on the Broadway national tour of The
King’s Speech at the time of the COVID
shutdown. Regional highlights include

JOSH JEFFERS (Ghost of Christmas
Present/Ensemble) returns to
TheatreSquared, where previous Off-
Broadway credits include Julius Caesar
(New York Shakespeare Festival); Macbeth
and The Rover (New York Classical
Theatre). Regional credits include Twelfth
Night, The Book of Will, The Foreigner,
Merchant of Venice, Macbeth (Utah
Shakespeare Festival); Cymbeline, Taming
of the Shrew, Macbeth, The Witch (Notre
Dame Shakespeare Festival); and Important
Hats of the Twentieth Century, Twelfth Night
(Warehouse Theatre). He holds an MFA from
the University of South Carolina.
ELIZABETH JILKA (Lydia/Mrs. Fezziwig/
Chairwoman & Ensemble) returns to the
TheatreSquared stage as she appeared
as Charwoman, Mrs. Fezziwig and Fred's
Wife in the new adaptation of A Christmas
Carol in 2019. Other T2 credits include
Rabbit Hole, It's a Wonderful Life: a Live
Radio Play, and Lily's Purple Plastic Purse.
Betsy has performed with Trike theatre in
productions including Peter Pan, Turning
Red, and A Year With Frog and Toad. In
addition, she will music direct Alexander,
Who’s Not Not Not Not Not Not Going
to Move in the Spring. Additional local
credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream
(NWA Shakespeare) and The Soldier’s
Tale (Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra).
Regionally, she has performed with Tulsa
Project Theatre, 4th Wall Theatre, Judson
Theatre (NYC), and Shakespeare Theatre
of New Jersey, among others. She is on
the faculty of the University of Arkansas
Theatre Department. She holds training
from Catholic University in Washington
D.C., and an MFA in Acting from the
University of Arkansas.
BRYCE KEMPH (Scrooge) returns to
TheatreSquared having appeared in
Shakespeare in Love, The Champion, Great
Expectations, All the Way, Peter and the
Starcatcher, Amadeus, Superior Donuts,
Hamlet, A Christmas Carol, Period of
Adjustment, It’s a Wonderful Life, Moonlight
and Magnolias, Jacob Marley's Christmas
Carol, and the Arkansas New Play Festival
2014-2017. Additional credits include Peter

to TheatreSquared, where she has
previously appeared as Tiny Tim in the 2019

production of A Christmas Carol and as
Ivonka in Once. Film credits include Sweet
Inspirations (2019) and Freedom’s Path
(2022).
STEVEN MARZOLF (Marley/Ensemble)
returns to T2, where his previous credits
include: Shakespeare in Love, Ms Bennett:
Christmas at Pemberley, Great Expectations,
All The Way, Amadeus, The Spiritualist, The
Fall of the House and the Arkansas New
Play Festival. He also directed Romeo &
Juliet in Concert, a collaboration between
T2 and The South Arkansas Symphony.
Regional acting credits include: Cyrano in
Cyrano De Bergerac at Riverside Theatre,
Coriolanus in Coriolanus at The Old Globe
Theatre, Romeo in Romeo & Juliet at Notre
Dame Shakespeare along with several
more productions at The Old Globe Theatre,
La Jolla Playhouse, Milwaukee Repertory
Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater,
In Tandem Theatre, Trike Theatre and
Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where
he was a part of the original production
of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winning play
August: Osage County. He has directed for
Riverside Theatre in Iowa City, The Side
Project in Chicago, Stella Adler Institute
in NYC, NWA Shakes/Trike Theatre and
several productions for Opera Fayetteville,
University of Tulsa and University of

ELIZABETH OFODILE (Martha/Ensemble)
returns to TheatreSquared after making
her debut in Designing Women as Alfie.
While at The New School in Fayetteville,
Arkansas, Elizabeth starred as Anita in
101 Dalmatians, Judge Yertle in Suessical,
an Elf in The Magical Forest, and The
Ringmaster in Farnahan’s Circus. As
founder of Backpack for Africa, Elizabeth is
passionate about helping marginalized and
vulnerable children around the world. She is
a sixth grader at McNair Middle School in
Fayetteville. She spent her formative years
at The New School.
JOE WALKER (Boy) makes his
TheaterSquared debut. He recently
performed as Barton in Disney’s Camp
Rock The Musical (Music Theatre Kansas
City), and has enjoyed many roles at Music
Theatre Kansas City as an ensemble
member. His credits also include being in
the children’s ensemble in Jesus Christ
Superstar and Newsies! (both with Music
Theatre Wichita). He has had various
roles at Arts Live Theatre located here
in Fayetteville, AR. He currently is a 7th
grader at Lingle Middle School.
AMY HERZBERG (Co-Adapter &
Director) is associate artistic director
and a co-founder of TheatreSquared and
distinguished professor of theatre at
the University of Arkansas, where she
is the head of the MFA acting program.

Project, Stages Repertory Theater, Valle
Christi International Theatre Festival,
English Theatre Berlin, and San Diego
Repertory Theatre, where she was in the

Shakespeare in Love, Once, Fun Home,
Great Expectations, Good People, Amadeus,
The Last Five Years, 'Twas the Night,
Moonlight and Magnolias, Bad Dates, Next
to Normal, and One Man, Two Guvnors. She
has appeared in several T2 productions,
including the world premieres of The
Spiritualist and My Father's War, a play
about her father's experiences in WWII.
She has received numerous honors for her
work, including the Kennedy Center's ACTF
National Acting Teacher Fellowship, U of
A's Charles and Nadine Baum Teaching
Award, Fulbright College Master Teacher
Award, Arkansas Arts Council Individual
Artist Fellowship for Directing, and, along
with her husband, the Governor's Arts
Award. She has been recognized as one of
25 visionary Arkansans by the Arkansas
Times, honoring Arkansans whose ideas
have had a transformative impact on life
in Arkansas. She holds an MFA in acting
from Cal Arts, with additional training from
American Conservatory Theatre and The
Actors Center in New York.
MARTIN ANDREW (Scenic Designer)
returns to TheatreSquared after creating
the scenic design for Matilda; The Musical,
and A Christmas Carol (2019, 2020). Other
credits include: The Invisible Hand, The
Fantasticks, and An Iliad (Kansas City Rep);
Father Comes Home from the Wars, Detroit
and The Norman Conquests (Southern Rep);

RUBY KEMPH (Costume Designer)
is the resident costume designer at
TheatreSquared, where she has designed
costumes for 30+ T2 productions and
Arkansas New Play Festival workshops
since 2008, including Around the World
in 80 Days, Amadeus, and All the Way.
Off-Off Broadway design credits include
The Rivals (Ampersand Theatre) and Garage
(Dive Theatre). She has built costumes for
many Broadway productions, including The
Phantom of the Opera, Jersey Boys, Mamma
Mia, and Anything Goes. She holds an MFA
in costume design and construction from the
University of Arkansas.
MEGAN REILLY (Lighting Designer)
returns to TheatreSquared having recently
designed lights for Matilda; the Musical,
Ann, and A Christmas Carol (2019, 2020) and
projections for 10,000 Balconies. A lighting
and media designer based in Madison,
Wisc., her Minneapolis credits include:
immersive design for Cabal (Walking
Shadow Theatre Company); projections
for Orange and Hooded or Being Black for
Dummies (Mixed Blood Theatre); Buyer &
Cellar (Hennepin Theatre Company); lighting
for While You Were Out (Red Eye Theatre);
The Sparrow (Live Action Set). In Texas:

TOMMY ROSATI (Sound Designer) makes

audio engineer on Angelina Ballerina
and Pinkalicious. Regional credits: Sound

Roll (Florida Studio Theatre). He serves
as the resident sound designer at Park
Playhouse in Albany, NY, and at Collective
Consciousness Theatre in New Haven,
CT. He teaches technical theatre at the
Regional Center for the Arts, a performing
arts high school in Connecticut.
BRODIE JASCH (Properties Manager) is
the resident props master at T2, where his
previous credits include Shakespeare in
Love, The Legend of Georgia McBride, Every
Brilliant Thing, The Wolves, Miss Bennet:
Christmas at Pemberley, Vietgone, Peter
and the Starcatcher, Around the World in
80 Days, and 20+ other productions. His
regional credits include An Evening with
Groucho (Heritage Theater Festival); Big
Maybelle: Soul of the Blues (Bay Street
Theater); and Unto These Hills (Cherokee
Historical Association). He holds a BA in
theatrical design and technology from

EMELY ZEPEDA* (Stage Manager) is
the resident production stage manager
at TheatreSquared where she staged
managed Designing Women and American
Mariachi. She was the resident production
stage manager with Brave New World
Repertory Theatre in Brooklyn where she
stage managed Shakespeare on Stratford
in 2021 and 2019, The Hook, A View from
the Bridge, The Plantation, and Ms. Julie,

JERRY L. JENSEN* (Stage Manager)
joined TheatreSquared in 2016, where he
has served as production assistant and
for the past two seasons, as assistant
stage manager. Favorite T2 shows include
Peter and the Starcatcher, All the Way, The
Champion, The Hound of the Baskervilles,
and Once. Other credits include Man of
La Mancha (Inspire Theatre); Deathtrap
(Citadel Theatre); Les Mis and The Odd
Couple (Pioneer Theatre Company). A native
of Utah, he holds a B.F.A. in theatre stage
management from the University of Utah.
ROBERT FORD (Artistic Director)
co-founded T2 in 2005. Unusual among
artistic directors in the American theatre,
he is chiefly a playwright. Most recently,
with Amy Herzberg, he co-adapted T2's
A Christmas Carol; past seasons have
included Fault, The Spiritualist (also
New Harmony Project and Stages Rep
in Houston), The Fall of the House (also
Alabama Shakespeare Festival—Edgar
Award nominee), Look Away (also Southern
Writers Project), and 'Twas the Night. My
Father’s War (T2, 2008 and upcoming in
2020) has appeared in the UK, Italy, and
Germany. He is winner of the Stanley
Drama Award and the Best Theatre Award
in the Hollywood Fringe, among others.
His critically acclaimed first novel, The
Student Conductor, was a Barnes & Noble
Discover Great New Writers pick. He holds
a M.Mus. degree from Yale and M.F.A.'s in
acting from Rutgers and in playwriting &
screenwriting from the Michener Center
for Writers, University of Texas at Austin.
MARTIN MILLER (Executive Director)
joined TheatreSquared in 2009, where
he has produced more than 100 plays and
developmental works, grew the theatre's
annual budget from $160,000 to over
$4MM, and expanded its audience more
than twentyfold. He managed the design
and construction of T2's new $31MM
theatre center, housing two intimate
venues, an open-all-day café/bar, artist
housing, production shops, rehearsal space,
and offices. He established the National
Stages Program (nationalstages.org), a
consortium of producing theatres offering
reciprocal member benefits, and has served
as a panelist for the National Endowment
for the Arts. As associate producer at
Chicago Shakespeare Theater, he produced
a variety of projects including the bilingual
Romeo y Julieta with Karen Zacarías. He is
a graduate of Carleton College and holds
an MFA in arts leadership from The Theatre
School at DePaul.
Already a serialized writer of some
stature, CHARLES DICKENS wrote
his first novella, A Christmas Carol,
in less than six weeks. Published on
December 19, 1843, the first edition of
the book was sold out by Christmas Eve.
The holiday ghost story is naturally
theatrical and was adapted for the
stage almost immediately. Three
productions opened on February 5,
1844, one by Edward Stirling being
sanctioned by Dickens and running for
more than 40 nights. By the close of
February 1844 eight different stage
adaptations of A Christmas Carol
theatrical productions were playing in
London. The story has been adapted
countless times since, and has been
featured on stage, film, and television
more than any of Dickens' other works.
