I have never taken the opportunity to greet you all and introduce 

myself over these last 7 weeks. Yes, 7 weeks! Churning out 2 

issues per week from the content you have put out there. 

I am pretty much doxxed between my ramblings on Twitter and 

participation on Discord. Most of you have worked out that I am 

the proud father of @justbrosey_ who recently graffiti painted 

our backyard with Solana Monkey Business #1 and #2. I have 

another son who is an active investor in the Solana space, @ 

cosmo41o. 

This last week has been pretty shiite to put it bluntly. I got stung 

by 2 rugs even though I read @Solslugs article about SOFT 

RUGS in Issue 14. Uncanny that that is exactly what hapened 

on Saturday and Sunday. For me, that’s about the 4th rug pull. 

Every time a significant amount of Sol. 

Earlier on I just shrugged it off and thought, “They probably need 

it more than me.” But lately is seems to be repeat offenders 

amassing SOL from all of us. Enough. It is at the point now that 

I won’t mint unless it’s a HOLAPLEX mint. At least that way I 

can get to know the artist on Twitter and DM, join the Discord 

and actually see that the 100 members are real. 

It’s a pity. The space was growing so well until these bad 

actors took to the scene. In this issue we have ◎X_Basic 

with a thread about these BAD ACTORS. I can’t see them being 

stamped out unfortunately but the more we are aware the more 

vigilant we can be.

To expose some bad actors in the Solana space, here’s a thread on 

the @SoullessNFT cash grab and a warning to @Dapper_DucksNFT 

holders. What defines a slow rug? Stay tuned to find out! 

Some backstory: Soulless had unique art, an ambitious roadmap, 

and a semi-anon team of nine to get it all done. Led by Jax and 

Beck, the team was inexperienced but worked hard to build a busy 

community discord and twitter following that was non-stop hype. 

They promised a game, a drawing for 10 e-bikes, a $12k donation to 

charity, weekly giveaways, a comic series, a free pet on Halloween, 

voting rights on community funds, and the promise to “make back 

your investment.” Plus, they even had NBA star @GraysonJAllen on 

the team!

Soulless minted in early October with a 10k initial supply at 1.5 

SOL ($2.4m lol). When it was evident, they would not be selling out, 

mint was paused and the team dropped supply to 6666 with a mint 

price of 0.4 SOL. Within 48 hours of constant hype, they sold out on 

10/12. 

Thrilled with their success, the creative team started 

to stage constant Twitter raids to pump the floor 

while Jax and Beck emptied the project’s wallets to 

pay their dev, influencers, and most importantly -- 

themselves. 


From wallets associated with the project, the primary team members 

made a total of 450 SOL each, with the others making 50 - 350 SOL. 

Total revenue was 2600 SOL. With SOL trading at around $150 USD, 

Jax and Beck had made a year’s salary in a 48 hour mint.

The hype in Discord peaked, but soon cratered with the floor price of 

Soulless. Questions arose on wen roadmap things: pets (cut to 1 per 

2 Souls held), E-Bikes (canceled), the game (coming in 6 months), 

giveaway 1/1s (all sent to anon), community voting for funds. 


Six days after both Soulless and Noia Ducks minted, on 10/18, NFT 

project and duck derivative Dapper Ducks was officially underway, 

created in secret by Jax, Beck and three other members of the team. 

They effectively disappeared from Twitter and Discord. 

The team’s artist, social media manager, and “lore master” all found 

out about the secret side project a week later, and the ensuing rift 

would later split the team. The pet drop had been monetized, so all 

was kept secret from the community as they prepared the airdrop. 

The Halloween pets were dropped and the team pivoted fully to 

Dapper Ducks, minting on 11/16 - leaving the Discord completely and 

letting FUD run amok as the Soulless floor price tanked. Marketing 

for their “Noia Ducks derivative” began in earnest, and their followers 

grew.

On November 16th, the Duck’s mint day, the sh*t hit the fan in 

Soulless. 

The Duck’s team went on the offensive, pushing back against 

criticism as some in the community tried to patch things up, and 

the team attempted to contain FUD in the Dapper Discord while 

minting was ongoing. Soulless Discord channels were muted for 

any new Ducks checking in. 

Weeks prior, the Soulless artist and head of marketing both quit 

the team. All the Ducks (minus one) had been removed from 

the Soulless website. The Ducks offered admin privileges to the 


community without handing over royalties. Some in Soulless made two 

Ducks cry... We have laid out the path for a community takeover. 

The Ducks haven’t turned over any assets or social media. The Discord

account remains as well. This has been a slow, soft rug, brought to you 

by @Dapper_DucksNFT. A final warning for all Duck holders -- Jax, Beck, 

and the rest of the Duck team have already been paid from your mint.

The Island Boys twins, famous for their viral Tik Tok song, are entering the NFT 

world and they have big plans. 

In a video uploaded to Youtube, the infamous Florida twins discuss the new up 

and coming NFT collection. The Island Boys NFT is currently under production. 

However, there is now a Discord for those keen to know more.

The Island Boys NFT is dropping next week, according to the pair. 

The twin brothers, Flyysoulja and Kodiayakredd, rose to fame following their 

remarkable song “Island Boy Freestyle”, which has become a massive viral 

sensation. The pair are now TikTok stars, and the crypto/NFT community has 

welcomed them with open arms. 

According to the pair, “The NFt is coming out in the next week”.

In fact, there is a growing trend to have The Island Boys endorse new NFT 

projects using celebrity video services such as Cameo. The pair are distinctive 

looking, easily identifiable by their unique style 

Incredibly, due to the pair’s success in the crypto universe, there are already a 

few unofficial Island Boys coins. 

The biggest of these is @islanddoges. The meme coin has regular shoutouts 

from the boys, brought on Cameo. Surprisingly, the currency has over 15,000 

followers on Twitter. Although it is a meme coin, the team has plans for NFT 

drops and metaverse entry. 

Additionally, meme coins are prevalent. If you have any doubt about this, look 

at Dogecoin and Shibu Inu. Although these coins can be incredibly lucrative, 

always remember to do your own research. 

Finally, let’s hope that the Island Boys NFT can provide us with the same level 

of entertainment that their music does; we will find out soon.

Five days ago, a

It turns out the dev working on the project was also rugged. 

He owned everything apart from the wallet containing the 

funds from the mint. Recruited. A small community of rugu-gees 

has quickly taken refuge in the discord and have 

banded together to make this project a success. 

From afar, I have witnessed this thrown-together team 

work harder than some teams work on their own projects.

with Audius Web 3.0 

New “embedded” functionality aims to improve fan engagement for 

musicians through NFT adoption and Web 3.0 integrations. 

California-based music streaming platform Audius released new 

functionality that allows artists and fans to embed nonfungible 

tokens (NFTs) on various blogs and social media platforms such as 

Twitter and Discord. 

The “embedded” functionality aims to improve fan engagement 

for musicians through NFT adoption and Web 3.0 integrations. To 

enable the feature, artists need to connect their Audius accounts 

with Phantom wallet, a crypto wallet centered around the Solana 

ecosystem. Aimed at increasing the discoverability of Solana NFTs, 

the company stated: 

“NFT holders can embed their collectibles from the two biggest 

blockchains on Twitter timelines, personal blogs, and websites. 

Thanks to this new feature, will further push collectibles into the 

mainstream.” 

The blockchain-based music streaming platform hosts popular 

mainstream artists including Katy Perry, Nas and The Chainsmokers 

and has witnessed more than sevenfold growth in the number 

of users in 2021. 

While social media platforms allow the use of JPEG images, the 

embed functionality offered by Audius displays the NFT metadata, 

which can be used by artists to market and sell their talent. 

While third-party entities continue to experiment with features to attract 

an established crypto community on social media platforms, 

Twitter has set an in-house team to invigilate decentralized applications, 

cryptocurrencies and blockchain. 

As Cointelegraph reported on Nov. 10, Interchain Foundation council 

member Tess Rinearson announced to join Twitter’s Bluesky 

project for “exploring how ideas from crypto communities can help 

us push the boundaries of what’s possible with identity, community, 

ownership and more.”

it’s time to reveal more about our vision for the project and how to mint one. 

For those new to our pod, Orcanauts are a collection of NFTs created for our loyal 

community here at Orca. An adorable

each of these 10,000 sea-dwelling 

critters is as unique as it is adorable, with 

traits of varying rarities (we’ll tell you how 

rare each trait is closer to launch). 

A first for the NFT world 

While we’re very proud of Orcanauts as a 

standalone NFT project, our ambition for 

this aquatic adventure goes much further 

than that. We see this as an opportunity 

not only to deepen our engagement with 

our users, but to make a material impact 

on the real world. 

While DeFi can “gamify” finance, as 

architects and early users of this 

new ecosystem we have a moral 

responsibility to promote and foster financial responsibility. And so in a first for 

Solana (to our knowledge), the Orca team will take no revenue from this NFT 

project. 

Instead, 75% of the mint revenue from this NFT project will be used to develop a 

brand-new cryptocurrency education curriculum for youth across the globe, with 

the remaining 25% of the mint revenue going to the artist. 

We’ll be revealing our nonprofit partner and why we picked them in a full deep-dive 

post in the coming days before launch. We’re incredibly excited about the mission 

of bringing crypto literacy to the masses, and we’re excited to offer you the chance

Two-phase mint process

As the entire Orcanaut project was made with our community in mind, only

PayPal looks into Polkadot and other Ethereum-killer projects to boost 

the scalability of its technology. 

Solana developers believe that the SOL network blockchain could be 

four times faster than it is currently. 

On-chain activity on Solana exploded as the daily active wallets crossed 

200,000. 

Analysts expect SOL price to bounce back to a new all-time high. 

At the Solana Breakpoint Conference in Lisbon, the developers revealed 

that the SOL blockchain could be four times faster than now. The DeFi 

and Metaverse ecosystems on the Solana network boost the token’s 

utility. 

PayPal is keen on scaling its payments network 

In a recent episode of the Unchained podcast, Paypal’s Senior VP Jose 

Fernandez da Ponte stated that the firm was tracking cryptocurrencies 

like Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot and Algorand. 

The online payments platform is actively monitoring layer-1 and layer-2 

platforms to scale payments. Fernandez was quoted as saying: 

I’m sure that if you ask me six weeks from now I could give you four or 

five different names. This is how exciting it is.

Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, spoke at the 

Breakpoint Conference. Yakovenko said, 

In relativistic terms, Solana’s about four times slower 

than it should be. The speed of light halfway around 

the world is about 110 milliseconds. It’s going to take 

a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get there, but in 

theory, that could be the theoretical limit for how fast 

the network is. 

Developers believe that the Solana blockchain could be faster 

than it is currently. According to data from CryptoCompare, 

Solana was the most volatile that it has been since September, 

at 88.7%. 

Historically a spike in volatility is indicative of an SOL price 

rally. Of the $12.5 billion in total value locked on the Solana 

network, a majority is locked in decentralized exchanges. 

DEXes have boosted SOL utility and adoption over the past 

two months. FXStreet analysts have evaluated the SOL price 

trend and expect the altcoin to take a dive to $160 as the 

cryptocurrency loses key support.

Last night I purchased this @notjohnlestudio piece (JL - #006) in a 

@holaplex auction. Here’s a thread on why I believe John, and other 

talented 1/1 artists on Solana are worth supporting, and will grow 

the ecosystem to thrive alongside other chains. 

I met John in an NFT Discord before I knew he was an artist. When

he revealed his talents, I immediately loved his work. He’s a great 

guy, with a beautiful attitude towards art and life. 

It’s special to be able to engage with an artist in this new age of art 

collection. Some of John’s earliest supporters have been prominent 

Solana NFT collectors, and I am sure there is good reason for 

that. He is getting noticed by the right people, and each auction has 

been more successful than that last (112 SOL total across the 3 

pieces sold last night). 

In comparison to ETH, there are far less established 1/1 artists

When prominent collectors such as @CozomoMedici turn their 

attentions to alternate chains, they will see the value and passion 

in the works of genuine 1/1 artists, no matter the chain. Artists 

with unique styles that are instantly recognizable to a collector will 

thrive. 

We are still early in Solana NFTs imo, and an investment in the talent 

here, is an investment in the Solana art scene as a whole. 

I can’t wait to see more and more 1/1 artists come through and 

thrive here. And to me John will forever be one of the OGs. 

I can’t wait to see the future unfold for this space, and for John. Get
