commemorate the history of 007’s famous cars
used. Titled James Bond’s DB5, this spectacular
book charts the history of the DB5 in the bond
films and is a must for any fan of the secret
agent or vehicle lovers.

To fulfil its objective of providing expert training to technicians
keen to expand their knowledge, DENSO is using every tool at is
disposal, from recorded webinars and real-time presentations via
the Internet, to live events with face-to-face engagement
“Training the technicians responsible for vehicle repair
and service is a very important issue,” explained DENSO’s
Fatiha Laauich, “and one that DENSO has long placed a high
priority upon.
“Although our e-Learning channel remains an important
tool and The League of True Mechanics (LOTM) competition
an ongoing opportunity for technicians to increase
their knowledge while also being able to win rewards, as
restrictions continue to ease, face-to-face training again
becomes a reality, which is why we were eager and excited
to join several other original equipment manufacturers at
the AutoInform LIVE event in Wolverhampton on 6th & 7th
November.
“The event was a great success as our two technical
experts, Richard Groot and Steve Turner, engaged with
many of the 200 attendees to discuss the many products in
the DENSO range. Richard then held an air conditioning (AC)
seminar with 50 delegates during which he expanded on the
service, repair and troubleshooting aspects of the complex,
but increasingly relevant, subject.
“The depth and breadth of DENSO’s training offering was
also demonstrated the previous week when DENSO and
Schaeffler jointly shared a live Zoom training session to
address the importance of FEAD (front end auxiliary drive)
system maintenance. This is an essential message and the
popular format gave Richard a great platform to explain
the different technologies used in the design of the pulleys
used for the alternators and AC compressors driven by
the system and stress the importance of checking their
condition and to highlight what problems can typically
occur.

most recent ‘DENSO in the Workshop’ AC oil condition
