50 TOP

ATTRACTIONS

#FLX FingerLakesTravelNY.com

Welcome

Two million years ago, glaciers began sculpting 11

pristine lakes that spread across central New York state

like fingers. Native Americans, the first to arrive, said it

was the work of the Great Spirit who blessed this land

with his hands. Today, we know them as the Finger

Lakes, a 9,000 square-mile haven showcasing Mother

Nature’s best work—from waterfalls and gorges, to cool

forests, to rolling farmlands, to miles of spectacular

shoreline. The vast region is a four-season playground

for outdoor enthusiasts and a treasure trove for lovers

of food, drink and entertainment. In this booklet, we’ve

divided the Finger Lakes into four geographic quadrants

highlighting 50 top attractions identified by TripAdvisior

and local experts at our 14 visitor bureaus.

We hope this sampling enriches your visit and inspires

your return. Welcome to the Finger Lakes!
