Hello
ABOUT ME
EXPERIENCE
I have been a student at CCD for over 3 years now. When I took
my first CCD graphic design classes in my senior year of high
school, I realized that design is something that I enjoy doing.
Apart from design, I am also a 2-Dimensional artist. Most of my
work consists of drawings and paintings, however I’m open to
working with any medium. In the past, I’ve explored many
different art forms such as theatre, music, and audio production.
My artwork has won multiple awards, and has been featured in
various art shows such as the CCD Student Art Show and the
Congressional Art Competition. I’ve also been a featured artist
in CCD’s Dock Gallery.
Artist Mentor - Academic Mentors Project
Community Resources Inc.
Denver, CO
As an academic mentor for Community Resources Inc., I volunteer my time to mentor a DPS student in
their chosen area of interest. Over the course of six 1-hour meetings, I teach the student what I know
about art and design, and provide advice on how to develop their work further. The ultimate product of
these meetings is a project completed by the student using what they’ve learned from their mentor.
Arts, Behavioral, and Social Science Office Assistant
Community College of Denver
Denver, CO
As a work study for the Arts, Behavioral, and Social Science department at CCD, I handle a variety of
administrative and organizational tasks including: managing phone calls and emails, and answering questions
about the department from both staff and students. I am also responsible for contacting students,
setting up meetings, and distributing laptops in regards to CCD’s CRRSAA Emergency Aid program.
GETAWAY CAFE
Brand Identity, Logo Design, Brochure, Poster
The Getaway Bakery is a fictional cafe that sells coffee
and pasteries from around the world. For this project,
I primarily used InDesign to create various branding
elements. By exploring the capabilities of InDesign, the
individual elements came together at the end to create
the branding of the bakery.
The Getaway Cafe and Bakery logo is a classic, friendly
mark inspired by a circular passport stamp. The emerald
green tone used throughout the brand colateral alludes
to nature’s role in providing the delicious products
featured at the Getaway Cafe and Bakery. The cream
color that accompanies the green reminds us of the color
of pasteries and coffee creamer.
Additionally, all type used in the poster had to be in the
Helvetica Neue sans serif font family. All graphics and
type were limited to only two colors. Overall, the poster
had to demonstrate an understanding of the Swiss Grid
Life hosts an annual event called “Somos CCD.” The
event is a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This
year, the Office of Student Life requested a graphic that
would be used as a logo for the event.
The figures used in the logo were sourced from the
internet, however, I stylized the vectors using color and
making adjustments to the shapes to freshen them up
and make them unique to the SOMOS logo.
The Happy Bakeshop began with three friends and a dream. This joyful trio wanted to make a bakery
that would bring happiness to their customers. After some long nights, “Happy Cakes” was born in 2006.
About a decade and a name change later, the Happy Bakeshop still brings smiles to those who visit.
The Happy Bakeshop’s primary logo is classic, clean, and joyful. It emphasizes the Happy Bakery’s
professionalism and friendliness. The logo bridges Bebas Neue’s strong, condensed forms with an
