Traveling the world in the times of Covid-19 is challenging.
With borders closed and flights canceled, travel was practically paralyzed. According to the World Tourism Organization,
travel restrictions were introduced to all world destinations at the peak of the pandemic.
Today, the tourism industry looks towards the new normal. Travelers, many of whom have been confined to their
homes for months, begin to dream again of beaches, mountains, cities and town and monuments.
Photography becomes a great way for people to enjoy themselves and feel connected especially during challenging
times. This is why we decided to organize the International Photography Competition dedicated to the subject
TRAVELER.
We are very proud of the competition’s success where artists from different countries such as the United States,
Canada, Germany, England, France, India, Vietnam, Brazil have all shared their visions that inspire, inform and
amaze.
In the images published in this catalog, you can see travel portraits, cityscapes, natural landscapes, scenery
with animals and local people engaged in daily life.
The jury had a very difficult task of choosing only one image to award the grand prize. The second-place entry
was chosen by the public on our social media.
Many thanks to all the artists for their participation and for the impetus and prestige they gave this competition
by submitting photographs. Congratulations to the winners and to all the participants.

CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY
Being a photographer is being an artist and being an artist goes far beyond the instrument you choose.
In the beginning, photographers used the camera to document actions and performances. These images became a
testimony of what had happened in a certain time and space. That time and place remained in the viewer’s memory
thanks to the camera, a perfect instrument to reflect reality.
Today, many artists create performances to be transformed into photographs. It is no longer a documentation of
reality, but a record of an idea that the artist had in mind materialized and immortalized.
Through these images a personal and expressive discourse is generated, where photographers represent their own
fears, anguishes and thoughts. With their technical and aesthetic choices, artists tell us about their view on art
and reality.
With this, contemporary photography continues to advance in the artistic field, speaking to us and making us think.
