Cut, Copy and Paste

Using a computer can save you time, if you know a few tricks. Paste is

one of those timesaving tricks.

There is an imaginary clipboard inside the computer.

When you cut or copy something, it is put onto the imaginary clipboard.

When you click paste, the last thing you put on the clipboard is inserted into

your document.

This can save you lots of time. However, be careful: you must not copy

someone else’s work and then pretend is yours. This is against copyright

rules.

you print it. If you zoom in, it is easier to check your work is accurate.

using the Layout tab.

22

Spelling and Grammar

Red and blue squiggly lines show where you have made spelling or

grammar mistakes.

Right-click on the squiggly line to look at suggestions for how to correct

your mistake.

Think carefully about the suggestions; the computer might not have

guessed what you are trying to say.

If you need to move text around the page, insert it into a text box.

23

If you need to organise your document into rows and columns, you can
