So, Where is North Chicago Exactly?
Depending on what you’re looking for, it can take a couple of days or several weeks to find an
apartment. We recommend that you visit for awhile to go apartment hunting. Although it can
become costly trying to factor in airfare, lodging, car rental, etc‐it’s worth it. You’ll want to check
out the surrounding area, safety/security, distance to RFUMS, etc. Plus, some of those great deals
may not even be advertised in the local classifies or online. Sometimes you just have to be in the
right place at the right time.
North Chicago is home to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Abbott Laboratories, Complete
Packaging Corp., and the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, the nation's only naval training facility.
