• The WSO engages with more than 30,000 students
and 300 schools each year.
• The WSO presents more than 100 performances at
schools and community locations across the province.
• The WSO presents 15 education concerts to more than
20,000 elementary students in Manitoba each year.
• The WSO visits 8 high schools each year to present
an engaging and educational concert to more than
4,000 students.
• The WSO connects with 200 inner city students
through a program that integrates Aboriginal and
Western cultural traditions.
• The WSO presents a Rising Stars Concert that
highlights the talents of Manitoba's high school
performers.
• WSO musicians mentor young musicians from the
University of Manitoba Symphony Orchestra.
• WSO musicians visit 12 healthcare centres each year
with live music to promote healing and health.
• The WSO presents concerts in 5 rural communities
each year to celebrate the holiday season.
• The WSO features free community concerts each year
at locations such as The Forks and Assiniboine Park.
