In the midst of a global pandemic, what makes you proudest of TSTC’s
performance during the 2020–2021 year?
Thanks to our nimbleness, innovation and cross-functional collaboration,
TSTC was the first college in Texas to return to face-to-face instruction
during the pandemic. Not only did we lead the way, we maintained an
outstanding health and safety record for our students and employees. We
never lost focus on our mission of placing more Texans in great-paying jobs.
So, TSTC students continued to prosper during these trying times.
Why should our donors consider themselves part of our success story
and formula?
It’s a sad fact that too many dedicated students who aspire toward a
productive career lack the funds needed to realize their goals. So, it’s the
generous contributions of our donors who help thousands of our students
become productive and self-sufficient contributors to the Texas economy.
Indeed, our donors can be confident that each dollar of support makes an
enormous difference in making the American Dream a reality for many,
many Texans.
Where is TSTC going in the next year that donors will want to be a part of?
Too often, college takes too long to complete and costs far too much. The
solution is to reengineer the manner in which students pursue their handson
education. During the year ahead, TSTC will do just that. When we’ve
finished with this conversion, TSTC students can master their new skills
in a faster self-paced manner.

less for their education. Plus,
they’ll start earning sooner as a
well-paid member of the Texas
workforce. Donations to The
TSTC Foundation will then help
even more students realize their
dreams.
What would you say to our
donors to inspire them to continue investing in our students
and our journey?
The current pandemic has changed the American workplace profoundly
and permanently. By staying in close collaboration with the employers
who hire TSTC graduates, we’ve adapted our training to these changes,
and the students are realizing the benefit. That’s why working alongside
TSTC provides the opportunity to be a part of something different: a
one-of-a-kind college focused on end results of great employment in
a constantly changing world. Donors make an enormous difference in
achieving those results.
