was Auburn FMA’s first corporate visit
to Evercore’s New York office. Later that
day, Auburn alumnus Alan Bannister
hosted a dinner for the students and FMA
supporters.
The following day, students transitioned
from boutique firms to bulge bracket,
meeting with executives from JP Morgan
and Goldman Sachs. The JP Morgan was a
unique opportunity where students gained
insight via a conversation with John Duffy,
Vice Chairman and Global Head of Morgan
Private Ventures for JP. Bailey Sullivan
and Stan Lewis hosted an analyst panel at
the Goldman Sachs office where students
had the opportunity to ask questions
and inquire about how the experience at
Goldman differs from other banks on Wall
Street.
Another highlight of the trip was the
Annual FMA Student Leaders Conference.
Hosted by FMA International, the
event included speakers from a diverse
set of backgrounds and an in-person
case competition, which Auburn FMA
participated (thank you Trigg for getting us
a first seed spot in the bracket).
That evening, the Harbert College of
Business organized a young alumni night
at Columbus Circle. It was a great turnout
and exciting to see that many young
Auburn graduates working in the city. Dean
Ranft and several other leaders from the
HCOB were in attendance.
We continue to build the FMA brand in
NYC and strengthen the connection with
our alumni and supporters. This trip could
not be possible without their support.
