EXECUTIVE RECOGNITION
What makes FMA special?
Our supporters - in
particular, our board
members.
In 2020, for the third year in a
row, an IFLP board member was
named National Executive of
the Year by the FMA National
organization. Board Chairman,
John Bright, is a man of few
words, but never short on
impact. As the founder, CIO,
and president of his own asset
management company, John’s
experience has been an invaluable
factor in IFLP’s success. John
explains the relationship with
Bright Investments: “In 2015,
our firm was approached about
partnering with the Financial
Management Association
(FMA) in the Harbert College
of Business. As FMA is made
up of undergraduate students,
we were concerned about their
ability to perform as our focus
has historically been on MBA
candidates. Six years later, FMA
has been the most surprising
benefit of our association with the
Harbert College.
“What makes FMA differentiated?
Simple. FMA students take
ownership of the organization. As
an institutional asset management
firm, these interns add value
to our investment process
performing disciplined equity
analysis that positions students
to compete post-graduation in
top investment bank training
programs. “
Thank you John. This national
recognition is well deserved.
Your dedication to our integrated
program has made a difference
on all aspects from student
internships to ASIF portfolio
management.
