My Country Dominica
My Country Dominica

Dominica is the land of my birth
It is the most amazing place on earth
Land of 365 rivers, all clean and clear
Land of beautiful birds that fly in the air.
The Sisserou Parrot, our national bird, is a wonderful
site
Their feathers are pretty, with colours so bright.
For my country, as small as it can be
With its colours yellow, black, white and green as you
can see.
Oh! the tall and green mountains that make up the land
Which complement the beaches with smooth black or
white sands.
My country I am a true patriot of
For none other can compare
For this is my country Dominica
Which I love and will always show I care.

Which is very lovely,
We have beautiful mountains and volcanoes
The land where crystal clear water flows.
We have nice foods
You can be sure our callaloo cures all bad moods,
Our codfish is delicious when we eat it hot
One person can be malicious
We have great calypsonians like
King bob and dice
And zouk and cadence
That sounds so very nice.

and volcanoes,
My Dominica is a lush green mountainous island with

My Dominica has Triple Kay and bouyon music with the
streams and hot springs too.

My Dominica has bele and heel and toe and many other

My Dominica has the most beautiful parrot in the world,
the sisserou.
My Dominica has the most healthy food in the Caribbean.
My Dominica has sancosh, tonton, braff, fig and codfish,
titiwi and crab callaloo.
My Dominica has the Sisserou on the Coat of Arms of the
country,
My Dominica has many herbs and spices like baselic,
spice, nutmeg and vevenn,
My Dominica has the Sisserou on the National Flag too.
My Dominica is the best island in the whole wide world,
My Dominica has the Sisserou on the mace of the House

Our culture and traditions are simply divine
Every October and November, we get to indulge
In our dancing, our singing, not forgetting our foods.
My favorite food is the Callaloo and that also is our national dish
I enjoy a broth on Saturdays
Oh boy a pelau can go down too
And i wash it down with a lime or passionfruit juice
Oh how I love my nature isle.
Wouldn,t you like to come to my Isle of beauty?
Here the people are friendly
And the traditional dances are fun especially the bele

Your natural features make you beautiful.

The flag they gave you is colorful.
We can go to your gardens and enjoy your peace.
