Program Objectives: Here at Indian River State <strong>College</strong>, we believe the best way for arts<br />
students to learn performance skills...is by performing. In addition to taking curricular classes in<br />
acting, dance, and other theatre disciplines, our students get ample performance opportunities<br />
on both our McAlpin Mainstage and in our more intimate Wynne BlackBox.<br />
History: Indian River State <strong>College</strong> is a public, comprehensive college with a statewide and<br />

Facilities, Classrooms, and Theatres: The IRSC Fine Arts Center features the 639-seat<br />
McAlpin Fine Arts Theatre, the 100-seat Wynne Black Box Theatre, Fee Dance Studio,<br />
classrooms and rehearsal rooms. A regular schedule of live shows is presented by students in<br />
the IRSC Theatre program, the student song and dance troupe "Company," as well as the Jazz<br />
Band, Wind Ensemble and <strong>College</strong> Chorale.<br />
Scholarships and/or Assistantships: Many financial aid and scholarship programs are readily<br />
available to eligible students, including more than $3 million annually provided to students by<br />
the IRSC Foundation, Inc.<br />
