JONES
HIGH SCHOOL
A Message From Our Principal
Welcome to our annual Coronation at the Great Jones High School. The definition of
coronation is the crowing of a sovereign. The word sovereign denotes royalty.
Our Mr. and Miss Jones High School are more than a King and Queen; they represent the
regality and power within all of us in the Jones High School family.
Coronation happens during the traditional homecoming, but homecoming at Jones is
special. Our royal court has been voted on and continue to reign as leaders within our
student government. We celebrate with them as we celebrate our shared culture. We
come from kings and queens. Our students, our families, and our community come out
to honor our past and exult the future.
With the pandemic, we have not been able to have the full ceremonies nor fully celebrate
our 125th Year Anniversary. Nevertheless we persisted; we still crowned a Mr. and Miss
Jones High every year.
This year we are so proud of our Royal Court and all our students.
Remember there is only ONE Jones.
Thank you for being here.
