Christmas Market<br />
The Billinge Christmas Market will take place at The<br />
Masons Arms on Carr Mill Road on Sunday 5th <strong>Dec</strong>ember<br />
between the hours of 12pm and 4pm, and there’s a whole<br />
lot planned for this event!<br />
You’ll be able to buy local produce and Christmas<br />
presents there. The stallholders include numerous local<br />
arts and crafts designers/makers, local travel agents<br />
Marken Travel, Greenslate Farm, animal rescue charities<br />
and cosmetic stalls too. Food will be available from<br />
<strong>St</strong>eve’s Soul Food Kitchen and the wonderful Phoenix<br />
plant-based eatery.<br />
The market will be opened by <strong>St</strong> <strong>Helens</strong> Mayoress, Cllr<br />
Sue Murphy and the market will be raising money for the<br />
Mayor’s Charity, which supports Alder Hey and the Helen<br />
Marie Friends charity, MIND <strong>St</strong> <strong>Helens</strong> and Willowbrook<br />
Hospice. Father Christmas will also be making an<br />
appearance at the Market.<br />
If you’d like to book space at the Market or you’d like to<br />
donate goods to be used for a tombola to raise money for<br />
the charities supported by the Market, please message<br />
the Billinge Christmas Market group on Facebook.<br />
Volunteers Needed<br />
Willowbrook Hospice are seeking volunteers to help in<br />
their retail stores throughout the <strong>St</strong> <strong>Helens</strong> and Knowsley<br />
areas. Volunteers are needed on most days at <strong>St</strong> Mary’s<br />
Arcade in the town centre, at Four Acre Lane and at<br />
Prescot Shopping Centre, whilst their <strong>St</strong>ockbridge Village<br />
shop needs volunteers on Saturday and their Rainford<br />
shop needs help on Monday mornings.<br />

Calendar Orders<br />
Rainford Heritage Society are now taking orders for<br />
their new calendar. You can plan your life in 2022 whilst<br />
enjoying pictures of scenic landscapes in and around<br />
Rainford, while raising funds for the society.<br />
The calendars are £5 each and can be collected or<br />
