If you know your base position from your baseline and<br />
you’d like to get back into badminton, then the Billinge<br />
Badminton Club would like to hear from you.<br />
The club plays badminton every Wednesday evening<br />
at Rainford Technology College on Higher Lane from<br />
7.15pm to 8.50pm.<br />
You must bring with you some experience of the game,<br />
and ideally a racket too, but don’t be nervous – the<br />
current members of the club possess a wide range of<br />
badminton abilities.<br />
The cost is just £2 per session and it’s strictly leisure<br />
play as the club don’t play in local leagues. For more<br />
information, search ‘Billinge Badminton Club’ on<br />
Facebook or just turn up on the night.<br />
Comedy Club<br />
The newly-established Comedy Club at Inglenook Farm<br />
off the Rainford by-pass has announced that the next<br />
Comedy Club night will be held on Sunday, <strong>Dec</strong>ember<br />
12 from 6-8pm.<br />
Two hours, five stand-up comedians and a whole lot of<br />
laughs. There will be a licenced bar and snacks available,<br />
all you need to do is bring your own chair.<br />
The event will be held under cover for the duration of<br />
winter.<br />

Activity Sessions<br />
The <strong>St</strong> <strong>Helens</strong> Children’s Centre, in Parr still have places<br />
on a wide range of their activity sessions – perfect to<br />
keep your little one stimulated and entertained.<br />
On offer are a wide range of children’s sessions and<br />
community events at the centre on Ashtons Drive,<br />
ranging from Mini Melodies on a Monday between<br />
10-12.15pm to the sensory group every Wednesday<br />
between 10am-12.15pm.<br />
