RICHARD MCGRATH Répétiteur Richard McGrath studied at NUI, Maynooth, the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. He was a trainee répétiteur at English National Opera and since then he has worked with companies including Irish National Opera, Northern Ireland Opera, Wide Open Opera, Opera Theatre Company and Lyric Opera Productions. Previous productions for INO include Alice’s Adventures Under Ground [2021], The Magic Flute [2019], Bluebeard’s Castle [2018], The Second Violinist [2018/19]. Other engagements include Fidelio (Lyric Opera), The Barber of Seville (Lyric Opera, WOO and ENO), La Traviata (ENO and Lyric Opera), Madama Butterfly (Lyric Opera), Carmen (Lyric Opera), La Bohème (OTC, ENO and Lyric Opera), The Last Hotel (WOO), Rigoletto (OTC), L’elisir d’amore (OTC and NI Opera) and Nixon in China (WOO). He is currently a répétiteur in the vocal department at the TU Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama, formerly DIT and is a coach for the INO studio programme.
