Undergraduate Research: An Archive Celebrating independent work on environmental topics by students in the Class of 2021 The High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) is pleased to present an archive of environmental research projects completed by students in the Class of 2021. During their time at Princeton, the students whose work is profiled in this booklet have been affiliated with HMEI as participants in the Certificate Program in Environmental Studies, and/or received support from HMEI for field research associated with their senior independent projects. As a volume, this compendium reflects the great variety of environmental research pursued by seniors from 17 academic disciplines on topics including climate science, biodiversity, health and disease, environmental policy, agriculture, urban sustainability and the environmental humanities. HMEI congratulates the students on their individual achievements and for their contributions to the body of environmental research being undertaken at Princeton to advance understanding and solutions at a time when environmental issues are among the most urgent challenges facing society and the planet. 2
