Bombardier’s flying as demand
for its private jets soars
Bombardier Inc has raised its full-year
estimates for revenue and aircraft
deliveries, helped by higher business jet
traffic and demand for planes.
The plane maker also said it would use
less free cash in 2021 than previously
expected, after beating analysts’
estimates for quarterly revenues on
higher deliveries and demand for
aftermarket services.
According to FlightAware data,
business jet flights were up 23 per cent
in the week beginning 21st July over

more integrated public transport system
in Edinburgh that will see “efficiencies”
across the current operators.
A recent report to the council has
outlined greater alignment of the
businesses running the buses and
trams which will result in easier ticket
purchasing, more integrated routes,
better collaboration and less competition
between companies.
The council says the changes
“wouldn’t result in any immediate
adjustments for passengers or front-line
staff”, though any longer-term impact
has not been disclosed.
The plan proposes reconstituting
the Lothian Buses legal entity to allow
the management of all council-owned
public transport modes in the city, while
retaining the brands and operational
services of each of the transport
companies.
Councillor Lesley Macinnes, transport
and environment convener, said: “The
reform of our Transport ALEOs offers
the chance to significantly enhance and
2019 levels in the US, the largest market
for corporate aviation.
Business jet revenue for the three
months ending June 30 jumped 50 per
cent to $1.5 billion, compared with the
$1.3 billion that analysts were expecting,
according to Refinitiv.
But Montreal-based Bombardier
posted an adjusted net loss of $137
million, or six cents per share, for the
second quarter, compared with a loss of
$248 million, or 11 cents, in the previous
year.

demonstrated by their consistently high
customer satisfaction ratings, and we’ve
no plans to change that.
“Any restructuring behind-the-scenes
will only lead to a better experience on
the services we all know and love.”

the National Community title at the
2021 Family Business of the Year
Awards, an annual award ceremony
that aims to put the UK’s family
business sector on the map.
Speaking to The Press & Journal
recently, Jamie spoke of how family
was the sole reason that he began the
business six years ago.
“At the beginning, it was just about
creating a business that could support
our own family,” he says. “It’s grown
through time into a global business –
we now have a workforce of 26 and
are selling globally to places like China
and America.
“We recently won awards in a New
York trade show (NY NOW) for being
one of the best emerging brands in
the US.
“We’ve come a long way from being
a window cleaner eight years ago to
now, across my three businesses, the
largest employers in Harris.”
