In the status bar, click the scale.2. In the list, click User Defined.3. In the dialog box, enter a scale in the format x:x or x/x.4. Click OK.84

In a drawing, select an existing view or insert a new view.2. In the PropertyManager, under Scale, select Use custom scale.3. In the box, enter a scale in the format x:x or x/x.You can also clickand select a predefined scale from the list.Modifying the List of Available ScalesYou can control which scales appear in the list that you access from the status bar andDrawing View PropertyManager. The same list is used for both drawing sheets and drawingviews.The list is defined in a file named drawingscales.txt, which you can edit to add andremove scales. The file contains instructions for editing the list.The default file location is:install_dir\SOLIDWORKS\lang\language.To specify a different location for the file:1. Click Tools > Options > File Locations.2. Under Show folders for, select Drawing Scale Standards.3. Set the file location and click OK.Design LibraryWhen you save a note that contains symbols and linked values to the Design Library, thesoftware stores those symbols and values within the note. When you insert the note fromthe Design Library into another drawing, the stored symbols and values display correctly.The stored symbols and values are not linked to the original note from the originaldocument.Previously, the software did not store the symbols and linked values in the Design Librarynote and they displayed an error when inserted into another drawing.85
