Editing Alternate Position Views
In part drawings, you can replace the alternate position configuration with an existing
configuration from the part model.
In assembly drawings, you can replace an alternate position configuration with an existing
configuration from the assembly model, or you can define a new configuration on the fly.
In assembly and part drawings, you can use Edit Feature to open a PropertyManager
and make changes to the view.
In this example, the alternate position view shows the two tabs from the as-purchased
configuration (Buy_01).
You replace it with an as-purchased configuration that has different tab geometry
(Buy_02).
To edit alternate position views for parts:
1. In the FeatureManager ® design tree:
a) Expand Sheet , and then expand the Drawing View that contains the
alternate position view.
b) Right-click Alternate Position and click Edit Feature.
2. In the PropertyManager, for Existing configuration, select a different configuration
(Buy_02) to use as the alternate view.
3. Click .
Phantom lines show the tabs of the Buy_02 configuration.
