Tab Cutting
You can create multiple tabs or micro-joints in parts for various fabrication workflows.
The settings are available in the Contour tab.
The tabs or micro-joints are helpful when cutting parts in machines like a plasma, water
jet, or laser. They keep small parts from tipping or falling through the cut process.
Previously, the Avoid Area options handled this functionality in SOLIDWORKS CAM.
Tapered Multipoint Thread Tool
A multipoint tapered threading tool is available in the library. The tool lets the thread
angle align with tapered pockets. You can define tapered threads as single point, user
defined, or automatic.
Previously, you could only use straight threading tools in either single or multipoint
configurations.
Universal Post Generator
A free post editor is available. The editor adds template posts for turning that extend
beyond milling.
