Assemblies
To change a component from flexible to rigid, select the part and click Make Part Rigid
in the context menu. The remapped external references are deleted and the component
returns to its nominal state.
Adding a Flexible Component
To add a flexible component:
1. Open system_dir:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS
2020\samples\whatsnew\assemblies\flexible_components\Destination_Assembly.SLDASM.
2. Click Insert Components (Assembly toolbar) and select
system_dir:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS
2020\samples\whatsnew\assemblies\flexible_components\Spring.SLDPRT.
3. Create a coincident mate between Collar<1> and the red face of Spring<1>.
4. Click View > Hide/Show > Axes .
