Large Assembly Settings

After opening an assembly, click Large Assembly Settings in the Assembly tab of

the CommandManager to enable or disable these settings.

For Assemblies system options, the following large assembly options are renamed:

New Name

Previous Name

Use Lightweight mode and Large

Assembly Settings when the number of

components exceeds

Use Large Assembly Mode to improve

performance when the assembly

contains more than this number of

components

Use Large Design Review mode when

the number of components exceeds

Use Large Design Review when the

assembly contains more than this

number of components

To access these options, click Tools > Options > System Options > Assemblies.

Selection Sets

You can add and remove selected items to new or existing selection sets. You can add

selected items to multiple selection sets.

In assemblies, only the selection sets for the assembly show when you click Save

Selection. In parts, only the selection sets for the part show. To view selection sets, in

the FeatureManager ® design tree, expand Selection Sets .

You can drag a selected item from the FeatureManager design tree or from a selection

set to another selection set. You cannot drag items from an assembly selection set to a

part selection set.

Adding a Selection to a Selection Set

To add a selection to a selection set:

1. Open a model and select multiple items in the FeatureManager design tree or graphics

area.
