Structure System and Weldments

Adding a Structure System Feature to an Existing Feature

1. Click Insert > Structure System > Structure System .

2. Click Insert > Structure System > Secondary Member .

3. Click Pin at the top of the PropertyManager.

4. Click the Profile tab and set the following:

a) For Standard, select Iso.

b) For Type, select square tube.

c) For Size, select 80 x 80 x 5.

5. Click the Member tab, and for Secondary Member Type, click Support Plane

Member .

6. Click in Support Plane, and in the flyout FeatureManager design tree, select Plane2.

7. Click in Member Parameters and click Chain Link .

8. In the graphics area, click Right Orientation (Heads-up View toolbar).

9. Click each of the vertical members and click .

A row of secondary members displays along the right side of the model.
