SOLIDWORKS Visualize

2. In Microsoft ® File Explorer, browse to the location on your computer where you installed

the NVIDIA vMaterials catalog.

3. To assign a material to a part, drag any .mdl file and drop it on the part in

SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

4. To edit the material, select it in the viewport or on the Appearances tab, and then

edit parameters on the Appearances tab.

The changes you make affect only the copy of the appearance in the project. The

source appearance is not affected.

NVIDIA RTX Support

SOLIDWORKS Visualize has RT Core support for full RTX hardware acceleration for

Accurate and Fast render modes on NVIDIA Turing TU10x GPUs.

Scaling for High-Resolution Displays

Displays with 4K resolution and higher are supported in SOLIDWORKS Visualize.

Icons and buttons scale so that their appearance does not degrade or become blurry on

high-resolution and high-pixel density displays.

All aspects of the user interface respond to the Microsoft Windows ® display scaling setting.

In dialog boxes and the Palette, the software uses the display scaling setting to display

icons and buttons at an appropriate size. Icons associated with text are scaled to a size

appropriate for the text.

SOLIDWORKS PDM Integration

You can use the integrated SOLIDWORKS PDM menu to access vault commands and view

file information when the file is open in SOLIDWORKS Visualize. You must have

SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional installed.

Unless otherwise noted, you must save an active SOLIDWORKS Visualize file in the PDM

vault before you can access the following SOLIDWORKS PDM commands.
