SOLIDWORKS ® Visualize is a separately purchased product that you can use with SOLIDWORKS
Standard, SOLIDWORKS Professional, and SOLIDWORKS Premium, or as a completely separate
application.
AMD ProRender Integration
SOLIDWORKS Visualize supports AMD Radeon ProRender, a raytracing engine that is
designed to run on AMD’s high-performance graphics cards.
To use ProRender, click Tools > Options > 3D Viewport and, under Render Engine,
select AMD Radeon ProRender.
AxF Measured Materials
SOLIDWORKS Visualize supports AxF measured materials.
The .axf file format from X-Rite stores digital material representations, most notably
measured materials, from their BTF scanning technology. To add .axf files to a project,
drag from Windows Explorer into your scene or click Palette > Appearances > Add >
Import Appearances.
