Sketching

This chapter includes the following topics:

• Applying Torsion Continuity Relations

• Baseline and Chain Dimensions in Sketches

• Importing 2D DXF or DWG Files as Reference Sketches

• Power Modify Tool

• Silhouette Entities

Applying Torsion Continuity Relations

You can apply torsion continuity relations between splines and any other sketch entity in

2D sketches. The sketch entities must share an end point. These relations create a smooth

continuity at the end point and apply equal curvature and an equal rate of curvature to

the sketch entities.

You can apply torsion continuity relations to a spline and one of these sketch entities:

• Spline

• Arc

• Conic or elliptical arc

• Model edges that are linear, circular, conic, parabolic, elliptical, or spline-based

To apply torsion continuity relations:

1. Select a plane and open a sketch.

2. Click Style Spline (Sketch toolbar) or Tools > Sketch Entities > Style Spline

.

3. Sketch a spline.

4. Right-click the spline and click Show Curvature Combs.
