model and the results file in the designated results folder, a warning message lists the

reasons of failure.

Renaming a model file or a simulation study after saving the results can invalidate the

link to the results file. The software cannot reconstruct the link between the new file

and the results saved in the original file <model name-study name.cwr>.

Repair Corrupt Studies

The software identifies simulation studies with corrupt data, and issues a warning to

delete the corrupted studies before saving the model.

When the software detects a simulation study with corrupt data, it flags the study tab

with an error icon. When you save a model that has corrupt studies, the software issues

a warning to delete the corrupt studies before proceeding.

Simulation Evaluator

Simulation Evaluator checks a study's setup to determine if the setup is optimal for a

successful simulation.

To run the Simulation Evaluator, do one of the following:

• In the Simulation CommandManager, click Simulation Evaluator .

• In a Simulation study tree, right-click the top study icon, and click Simulation

Evaluator .

Simulation Evaluator checks conditions related to the results folder, storage capacity

of the results drive, materials used in the simulation, and the mesh volume. If conditions

in the study prevent a successful simulation run, the Simulation Evaluator dialog box

provides information for corrective actions.

In the Simulation Evaluator dialog box, click Save to save the content of the dialog box

in a .txt document.

Simulation Performance Improvements

Performance improvements are implemented for linear static studies with multiple load

cases and studies with contacts set to incompatible bonding.

Linear Static Studies with Multiple Load Cases

You see performance benefits while solving a simulation for linear static studies with

multiple load cases defined with remote loads. The force and moment components of

remote loads support the optimized solver performance. Translation, rotation, and mass

components of remote loads remain unchanged for all load cases.
