RoutingManufactured-Style Flattened RouteYou can adjust the angle of a line or an arc from the X-axis when you edit themanufactured-style flattened route. To access the PropertyManager, right-click a manufacture-style flattened route in theFeatureManager design tree and click Edit Flattened Route .Edit ToolsAdjust angle fromX-axisAdjusts the angle of a line or an arc from the X-axis.Mass and Density of Cables and WiresYou can set the mass of cables, cores, and wires in the Cable Wire Library Wizardand the density for coverings in the Covering Library WizardLibrary Manager.using the RoutingThe cable wire library and the covering library define the mass properties of an electricalroute that has cables, cores, wires, and coverings. The software calculates and appliesthese properties to the solid bodies based on the values set in the libraries. You can viewthe mass by using SOLIDWORKS Mass Properties. You can also view the Mass per Unit Length and Density attributes in the followingPropertyManagers. These values are read-only.• Edit Wires PropertyManager under Properties.• Covering PropertyManager under Layer Properties.• Fixed Length Covering PropertyManager under Layer Properties.Minimum Bend RadiusYou can create a route part if the bend radius of the cable, core, or wire is less than theminimum.Click Tools > Options > System Options > Routing and select Create route partfor segments if bend radius is less than the minimum. In a route part for segments, the software considers the individual minimum bend radiusfor the cable and core. You can view the unit of measure for Minimum Bend Radius and Outer Diameter inthe Cable Wire Library Wizardusing the Routing Library manager. When you save the XML file using the Routing Library manager, the XML file and theRouting Library manager use the same unit of measure.174
