The tool creates a Surface-Offset feature with missing faces, as noted in red.
8. In the graphics area, zoom to the missing faces.
You can use other surfacing techniques to repair these gaps and then use the feature to
create additional surfaces.
Specifying the Thicken Direction
You can thicken a surface by specifying a direction other than normal to a face. This
option is available for Thicken and Thicken-Cut features.
In the Thicken PropertyManager and Thicken Cut PropertyManager, you can specify the
following entities as a Direction from the graphics area:
• Linear sketch entities
• Pair of vertices
• Sketch points
• Cylindrical faces
• Reference planes
• Conical faces
• Reference axis
• Points in reference geometry
• Linear edges
• Planar faces
