Export Feature of BOM Compare Tool
The BOM Compare tool has an Export button that lets you export the comparison
information to a Microsoft ® Excel file.
The spreadsheet contains:
• Information on all records that are compared.
• A comparison of the two sides of the formatted output.
When you export the comparison information, the Microsoft ® Excel file automatically
creates the right and left sides of the comparison on a single sheet.
Inactive Configuration Part Numbering
Administrators can assign part numbers to inactive configurations.
Administrators can use the root file’s name with the name of the configuration. This makes
it less confusing for users because they can see the configuration name.
Integration into Microsoft Outlook
The integration of SOLIDWORKS Manage into Microsoft ® Outlook helps to use message
data effectively.
With the integration, you can:
• Link incoming emails directly to records to provide a complete history and improved
visibility.
• Create records based on a message. For example, an organization can convert a
customer request into a process or a case for evaluation.
