Message from the Chairman
Dear Member,
After a long wait and postponement, the first
Corporate Masters finally teed off at the Royal Nairobi
Golf Club one of the premier golf courses in Nairobi
Kenya. Our organising team has worked very hard in
the last months to get the golf course ready for this
great golf season.
Thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and pride
you put into your work every day. Without the hard
work of all of our staff, we would not be able to offer
the remarkable service that will become our standard.
Our Tournament Organizing Committee has been hard
at work to meet this exciting challenge of partnering
with World of Golf as we seek to grow the First Tee
concept here in Kenya.
We shall be assigning patrons to schools to introduce
the game of golf and the values that come with it. First
Tee is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that teaches
children life skills through purposed golf lessons. By
integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum,
First Tee attempts to build inner strength, selfconfidence,
and resilience in participating children.
I would like to thank our current board members for
their dedication and hard work.
As always, do not hesitate to bring ideas/suggestions
to myself or any board member. We are here to serve
the membership in whatever way we can.
Have a successful and enjoyable 2021 Corporate
Masters golf season!
- Mr Peter Wairegi
Message from the MD,
Director Marketing, and
Director Finance and
Planning
Dear Member
The past year has been a time of unexpected challenges
for everyone amid the continued focus on spurring
stronger and more inclusive growth and strengthening
corporate cooperation.
We were lucky to launch the first-ever corporate golf
tournament that brings corporates together to compete
in the game of golf. It is not only golf but we have a
networking opportunity and also promote the spirit of
teamwork among the corporate.
Corporate Masters endevours to change how golf
tournaments are organized by building extra value
for partner brands. Our target audience is middle and
upper management in various organizations, business
owners, and high net worth individuals. We promote the
spirit of teamwork among corporates as we allow them
to share what they do with like-minded brands. We plan
to expand this to other areas in Kenya and the region.
We will continue to engage with our Corporate Masters’
members and would like to thank all the corporates that
made our first golf tournament a success. Besides, I would
like to make a special mention of our staffs’ enthusiastic
contribution in establishing our organization. The one
thing I would like to present is that our success is a result
of our employees. They have clearly made Corporate
Masters one of the outstanding tournament.
I am looking forward to seeing you at our next Corporate
Masters tournament at Windsor in September, Muthaiga
in November and the final one in Karen in December.

About Corporate
Masters
The first-ever
intercompany golf
challenge Corporate
Masters was held at
Royal Nairobi Golf Club
on July 24, 2021.
The golf series brings together
senior management, business
owners, and high net worth
individuals to a networking golf
tournament; taking place at
various golf clubs in Kenya and
the region.
Corporate Masters also seeks to
introduce the game of golf and
the inherent values to the youth
and juniors.
The organizers are aiming to
create a great experience for
golfers and spectators alike and
achieve more than just golf in the
tournament.
In the inaugural event, Blue
consulting, a Salesforce CRM
provider emerged as the winner,
followed by Luxury automotive
brand BMW and the dealer;
Inchcape teams in the second
and third place respectively. The
Individual award category was
won by Ryan Mutinda carding 65
points gross.
The event was graced by senior
corporate leaders like Ibrahim
Kiptoo, the Managing Director for
Inchcape Kenya, the Marketing
Director for St Andrew’s Turi
Ms Frankie Gichuru, Mr. Philip
Carolan, The Head of Operations,
Processing and Sales divisions
for Kenchic, Former Deputy
Governor for Kiambu Mr Gerald
Githinji, and Mr James Kimani,
the VIP, and Affiliates lead at
Betlion.
Registration for the next event is
ongoing. The event will be held at
Windsor on September 24, 2021.

Growing golf
talent in Kenya
Golf enthusiasts, like all other sports
fans, believe that the game is
interesting and can be enjoyed by all
irrespective of their backgrounds.
The older generations
value the game as a
recreational activity,
but questions linger as to
why the game has been
unable to attract the younger
generation, something that
might have a serious impact
on its future.
If you ask young people
between the ages of 18 and
35 why they do not play golf
and why interest in the game
is low, they will most likely tell
you that the game is “boring”.
Golf clubs in Kenya and
globally are divided on how
to make the sport more
appealing to a younger fan
4 Corprate Masters Golf Series
If something is not done to
change the perceptions
and attract more people
into the game, experts
warn that golf courses and
equipment manufacturers
might soon go out of
business and that is where
Corporate Masters is
stepping in.
base and players.
Through Corporate Masters
they will be tapping young
golf talent to make the game
grow in the country and
inherent values to the youth
and juniors.
“We want to demystify
the sport by creating
more awareness about
golf, overcoming the
misconceptions and making it
accessible to the youths from
all walks of life. We are also
about identifying the local
talent and grooming it from
a young age so that future
international tournaments
are not the preserve of
old-timers only,” says the
Chairman for Corporate
Masters, Mr Peter Wairegi.
He adds that they have also
partnered with World of Golf
and seek to grow the First Tee
concept here in Kenya. “We shall
be assigning patrons to schools to
introduce the game of golf and the
values that come with it.”
Some experts point out that it is the
rigid and out-of-date rules that
make it less appealing to youth
besides being very expensive.
For instance, closing golf from
the changing social trends and
gadgetry in some ways is limiting
tech-savvy youth who might be
interested in teeing off. Phones
and other electronic gadgets are
not allowed within the course. This
is just one of the many sets of
rules that participants
believe bring
discipline into
the course
and distinguish it
from other sports.
We want to
demystify the
sport by creating
more awareness
about golf,
overcoming the
misconceptions
and making it
accessible to the
youths from all
walks of life.
A full 18-hole game takes
hours, more than other
popular sporting activities
and costs thousands to
play depending on the
club.
If something is not done
to change the perceptions
and attract more people
into the game, experts
warn that golf courses and
equipment manufacturers
might soon go out of business
and that is where Corporate
Masters is stepping in.

with people who share the same value as us.
Moving forward we hope we can have more of these
engagements together of a cause bigger and better

Blue consulting
win the inaugural
Corporate
Masters golf series
Blue consulting, a Salesforce CRM
provider emerged as the winners
of the inaugural intercompany golf
challenge Corporate Masters was held
at Royal Nairobi Golf Club.
Overcoming the intense pressure and the weight of
the Corporate Masters golf series, the company
managed to beat Luxury automotive brand BMW
and the dealer; Inchcape teams in the second and third
place respectively with the Individual Award category was
won by Ryan Mutinda carding 65 points gross.
Blue Consulting was formally launched as a company in
2014, with their main objective to help businesses in Kenya
grow by helping them improve their customer experience
by giving them access to the world’s best CRM Platform,
Salesforce®.
Over the past 7 years, Blue Consulting has been able to
achieve success not only in Kenya, but in East & West Africa
as well, and we are well on our way to becoming the leading
CRM Solutions company in Africa.
Blue Consulting has been able to successfully display its
first-hand knowledge of local businesses; whatever the scale
and their ability to effectively create customized Salesforce
solutions. In this case, and many others…being Salesforce
experts was great but not enough. Blue Consulting’s own
experience as an African tech-based company proved
invaluable.
Blue Consulting Limited was founded in 2015 by Limo
Sadalla, a Kenyan-born Undergraduate Degree in Business,
Information Technology, and Economics. He was then
exposed to the world of CRM and Salesforce through his
work with several multinational and globally celebrated
companies.
This experience inspired him to come back home and form
a company that would address the huge gaps in data
management and consumer relationships in Africa.
We make it our business to ensure that end-users will be
able to navigate Salesforce effectively, create reports,
manage email campaigns and learn from all the data.
As the first local certified Salesforce Partner in East Africa,
Blue Consulting has been breaking barriers right from the
start. We have used our unique position to advocate for
better data and consumer management practices amongst
businesses operating in East Africa.
We have managed to overcome hurdles such as limited
digitization and fear of change, to win over some of the
biggest brands across multiple industries across the
continent. At the end of 2019, we were nominated for and
won the award for Best CRM Solutions Provider in Kenya.
Our most valuable resource over the past 6 years has been
our incredibly talented and dedicated young team. We have
embodied Salesforce’s spirit of Ohana, and transformed it
into our own of “Ujamii” which means community in Swahili.
Our Vision is to be the leading CRM Solutions provider in the
African continent. We are on a path to educate as many
businesses, regardless of the scale on the benefits of CRM
technology.
