Many Australians are experiencing lockdown once again due to the COVID-19
pandemic. People are not traveling within their own State, never mind interstate
or overseas. This restricts the ability for people to work, and also has an impact on
sustainability of businesses which work with and in the Australian taxi and hire car
industry.
Many of us are having virtual meetings via the internet – we are zooming here, there
and everywhere, but we do not travel around.
During these times of hardships there are some drivers and operators who are
providing excellent service while helping those in need, and there are others who have
found alternative ways to earn a few extra dollars during this time of crisis.

It is very important that we look after ourselves
during this pandemic, and we have provided some
ideas in this edition on what you can do during
the day (and night) to maintain your health and
wellbeing.
Additionally, we have collected statistics on vehicle
licences and driver accreditations for every Australian
State and Territory for your analysis pleasure – enjoy!
