The King<br />
family have<br />
long had an<br />
association<br />
with the<br />
club and <strong>Bristol</strong> <strong>City</strong> offered<br />
Andy his first glimpse into the<br />
world of football.<br />
He would follow the Robins<br />
home and away and, as fortune<br />
would have it, the midfielder<br />
would go on to sign for the club<br />
in the summer of 2021.<br />
He would be reunited with Nigel<br />
Pearson, who he knew from their<br />
time together at Leicester <strong>City</strong>,<br />
and the move flourished from<br />
there.<br />
“When I heard Nigel got the job<br />
as manager I thought this could<br />
be something for me,” King told<br />

the gaffer before, we know all<br />
about each other and I saw the<br />
potential for a chance to come<br />
in during a transitional period.<br />
“It felt like the perfect fit having<br />
worked with the manager<br />
previously and this is a club I<br />
had wanted to play for, so I gave<br />
him a call and we shared our<br />
thoughts.<br />
“I hadn’t played much last<br />
season, so I came in just to train<br />
at first. Nigel wanted to see<br />
where I was at and if I still had<br />
the hunger. I was and still am<br />
hungrier more than ever after the<br />
