Stop process us<strong>in</strong>g Startup and Control Framework<br />
• The Signal Handler of JControl receives a stop signal from <strong>the</strong> <strong>stopsap</strong> script (UNIX) or from <strong>the</strong><br />
W<strong>in</strong>dows Service.<br />
• JControl forwards <strong>the</strong> signal through named pipes to all runn<strong>in</strong>g JLaunch processes (Java servers and<br />
dispatchers).<br />
• The JLaunch process of a Java cluster element should react to this notification (soft shutdown) with<strong>in</strong> a<br />
certa<strong>in</strong> period of time. After this time has expired,<strong>the</strong> JLaunch process is term<strong>in</strong>ated by JControl. When<br />
this is done, <strong>the</strong> JVM with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> JLaunch process is ended, as is <strong>the</strong> JVM of <strong>the</strong> JLaunch process.<br />
