AS JAVA Profile Files<br />
• Profile files are first read when a Java <strong>in</strong>stance is started. The JControl process<br />
<strong>the</strong>n reads <strong>the</strong> files <strong>in</strong>stance.properties and bootstrap.properties.<br />
• The profile files are located on <strong>the</strong> operat<strong>in</strong>g system <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> directory<br />
DIR_PROFILE (Microsoft W<strong>in</strong>dows: :\usr\sap\\SYS\profile or<br />
UNIX: /usr/sap//SYS/profile) and are generated at <strong>in</strong>stallation time.<br />
• There are three different profile files:<br />
– Default profile (Default.pfl),<br />
– Start profile (START__), and<br />
– Instance profile (__)<br />
