By now, you
are probably
aware that we rebranded
as Green
Dynamix in May.
What a challenging
and exciting
process! Now we
have a new focus
– introducing new
products to better
serve you, the
BOSS! We want
to offer you more
than plant materials.
In fall of this
year, we will expand
our inventory,
soon to include
PPE, tree stakes,
tree bags, tools,
fertilizer, soil, compost,
mulch and
more, available to
our customers at
wholesale pricing
and this is only the
start.
One of our goals
has always been to
fulfill your entire
order, so we took
a hard look at how
we could improve.
How could we
save our busy customers
more
time and more
money? The perceived
answer
seems simple
in this industry;
expand into new
products landscapers
need for
their projects
and their crews!
The reality of
doing it is more
complicated, but
I believe most
things worth
while are challenging.
Perception
and reality is
the theme of this
newsletter, which
you can read about
on page 3.
So how will we
start expanding?
First and foremost,
we have a top-notch
team that’s excited
to dive in to offering
new products.
We’ve asked for
feedback from our
customers and will
continue to do so.
We want to know
what you would
like to see us offer.
Right now, we’re
gearing up our distribution
yard for
our new products.
The last part of this
expansion, which
will always be on
going, is Continually
Improving – Our
first Core Value as a
company.
We’ve also added
some amazing new
members to our
team, which you
can read about on
page 6 and 7. They
have already proven
themselves a
huge asset in each
of their respective
departments and
we’re so happy
to have them on
board! Every team
member is critical
to reducing landscapers’
Total Cost
throughout the
southeast. If you
visit our website,
that statement is
highlighted in orange
at the top of
our homepage.
We want to meet
this goal in new
ways and still provide
you with unmatched
customer
service. As always,
we want to be “The
Highlight of Your
Day!”
Cheers!

Y
ou’re shown a video
of a young woman
slowly stepping
onto a sidewalk. You notice
the area appears to
have heavy foot traffic and
is most likely in a large
city. It’s late afternoon, approaching
dusk, when a
tall man in dark clothing
quickly runs toward the
woman from the right and
grabs her, knocking her to
not just the short clip of the
woman being thrown to the
ground by this despicable
man who probably robbed
her of everything she had
at the time.
You’re shown a second
video of a young woman
slowly stepping onto
a sidewalk. It’s the same
video, same scenario. The
tall man in dark clothing
quickly runs toward the
woman from the right and
grabs her, knocking her to
the ground, her cell phone
It turns out, if the tall man
in dark clothing had not
grabbed the woman when
he did, she could have
been killed by this vehicle,
or at minimum, severely
injured.
You continue watching.
The man assists the woman
in getting back on her
feet and helps pick up her
belongings from the concrete.
She is clearly shocked
and crying. He appears to
make sure she is okay, as
others on the street come
to do the same thing. He’s
a hero! But, based on the
the ground.
You can see
the woman’s
cell phone
flies into the
air from the
impact of
this assailant
and just as
quickly as the
video began,
it ends. This
woman was
mugged, clearly, and how
unlucky for the criminal to
have it all caught on camera
in such detail. Surely
law enforcement will easily
track him down.
One of the pitfalls of living
in the big city you might
say! Crime is everywhere
and this mugging caught
on camera is hard evidence
of that. Or is it? What if you
saw the whole video, and
flying into the air from the
impact. It’s exactly as you
saw in the first video. Suddenly,
a silver sedan going
much too fast rushes by
from the left and clips the
curb of the sidewalk with
it’s front tire. The woman
was facing the opposite direction
and never saw the
vehicle racing toward the
very spot she was standing
half a second earlier.
first video,
your
opinion of
this man
was much
different,
was it not?
This story
serves as a
reminder
that our perception is not
always reality. Often, we
only see a fraction of the
whole story and our perception
is based on dozens
of factors that are unique
to each person. On the flip
side of this coin, it’s a great
reminder that if we change
our perception, we can
change our reality. How
can you improve
your perception
today?

I
think the title
says it all for this
story. If you’re a
thrill seeker like I am,
your answer is YES!
My son, Michael, and
I took a trip to Cabo
San Lucas in Mexico
and WOW! The
experiences were
incredible. If
you’re searching for
rushes and thrills,
you can stop here
and plan this trip. It’s
exhilarating even if
you’ve been zip lining
before. It’s a whole
new perspective
of the scenery,
wherever you go. I’ll
admit hanging upside
down was a little uncomfortable
but once
you’re flying, you forget
about everything
except how amazing
the view is. It was one
of the most unforgettable
adventures
I’ve
been on!
As you
see from
our pictures,
we
did a lot
m o r e
t h a n
the zip
line. We
rented
a Canam X3 Racing
Turbo and went
off-roading Cabo
style. I never knew
sand dunes, stream
beds and desert
terrain could be so
much fun. We also
went on a giant
swing excursion
over-looking a
desert canyon. Swing
is the mild term for
free falling in the air
before you begin the
pendulum movement
with the bottom of
the canyon hundreds
of feet below you. It
was awesome!
One of the most visited
attractions that I
hope you get

the
chance to
see one day is at the
very southern tip of
the Baha California
Peninsula – El
Arco
de Cabo
San Lucas. The natural
rock formation
is truly a sight to see,
so we went
on a boating
trip to do just
that. The waters
surrounding it
are full of sea life
and other tourists.
There are so many
adventures in Cabo,
it would take many
trips to really see and
do it all. It’s not often
we take a trip like that
– just my son and myself.
So worth it!
You can’t beat
making great memories
with your kids.
Besides the adventure
and beautiful
scenery, it was really
about spending
time with my
son. Life can get
so hectic, sometimes
we forget
how much we
need to experience
the
fun things
in life with
the people
we love. Time
is precious! Back
to my original
question – Would you
zip line upside down?
The part I didn’t ask is
would you zip line upside
down if it was an
adventure your teen
wanted to go on and
you had the opportunity
to make some
incredible memories
with them? If you find
yourself questioning,
take my advice and go
on the trip, go on the
adventures. Bonus
tip: make sure you
have some awesome
photos taken!
J
ennifer (Jen) Boyer came on
board with Green Dynamix in
February of 2021 as our Inventory
Control Lead. With an in-depth
knowledge of horticulture and extensive experience
in the green industry, Jen is a great asset to our team!
Her love of plants began at a young age as her grandparents
owned a nursery where she grew up working with
and loving plants. She is a seventh generation Floridian
raised in Winter Park, then moved to Amelia Island 21
years ago. She and her husband planned to move to their
river property in Fort White when they retired, then
COVID-19 hit the world and they decided since their kids were raised, why wait to move?
She added, “Then it hit me. If we were moving pre-retirement, I better get a job. I knew
I wanted to go big or go home. I instantly thought of Green Dynamix.” We are thrilled
she made the early move! Jen’s motto is to look at the positive in all situations and she
loves to inspire others to learn. Outside of work, Jen loves attending concerts, gardening,
cooking, kayaking, camping, fishing and all things nature. She and her husband have
five adult children, one grandchild and another on the way. Now just the two of them,
together they care for four dogs, a pet pig, bird, cat, chickens and many plants.
B
rooke joined
the Green Dynamix
team in February
of 2021 and has been a great asset to our
operations department as our Operations Analyst.
She assists logistics and our Account Executives to
help connect all the moving parts of operations to
limit sales order errors and encourage cohesion.
Previously in the medical field for 7 years, she
came on board for a brighter, more positive career
change. Brooke earned her Associate in Business
Management from Florida Gateway College in 2015; then spent a year studying Nuclear
Engineering at University of Florida; a year studying welding and scuba diving; and
a year studying Health Sciences before ending up back in business and earning her
Bachelor of Science from University of Massachusetts in Operations Management in
2020. Although she’s spent most of her life in Florida, she was born in New England
and is an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. In her free time,
she enjoys days at the beach and building and collecting advanced Lego kits.
Currently, she has taken on a new hobby in learning to golf and is the proud
dog mom of a Great Dane puppy named Elli.

We welcomed Samuel
(Sam) Lacey to the
Green Dynamix team in July of
2021. Sam has over 12 years of experience in providing
specialized consumable products and solutions,
making him a great fit to fulfill the role of Business
Development. He has a passion for service and said
he came to Green Dynamix to be part of a culture
that truly focuses on the customer. He is a proud
Jacksonville resident and Jaguars fan. In his free
time, Sam loves spending time with his daughter,
Sophia, boating on the Intercoastal, exercising and enjoying a smooth glass of
Kentucky on the weekend. We’re thrilled to have Sam on the Green Dynamix team!
For every new employee
we add to
our growing team,
we surprise them
with a welcome cake
on their first day.
We want to show
them we are excited
to have them on
board and we take
a photo to commemorate
the
day. In the photos,
you see Sam’s
(top) and Brooke and Jen’s (bottom)
welcome cakes. We think the most
important part of this fellowship
is it gives
the entire team the
opportunity to get
to know the newest
member of our
Green Dynamix family
over a sweet slice
of Publix cake (our VP/
Controller’s all time favorite)!
How do you welcome
new employees to
your company?

A low mounding evergreen, Lantana
‘New Gold’ is a cheery addition
to southern landscapes. This variety
is a hybrid between
Lantana camara and
Lantana montevidensis
which blooms
throughout the spring,
summer and even fall
seasons in warmer
climates. It can reach
2ft – 3ft in height and
6ft in spread. While it
does require regular
watering while establishing
its roots during
the first season, it is
an easy plant to care
for with few problems
affecting it. Lantana is
heat loving, tolerates
poor soils and attracts
pollinators with its bright
clusters of flowers. Use
it as an accent, in mass
or in containers.
