The Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee
commemorated her 60 years as queen, with
celebrations across all of her kingdoms, the
wider Commonwealth of Nations. In a message
released by Buckingham Palace, he
declared: “In this special year, as I once
again dedicate myself to your service, I hope
that we all remember the power of unity
and the strength of family, friendship and
good neighborliness… Also I hope that this
jubilee year will become a time to give
thanks for the great strides that have been
made since 1952 and look to the future with
a clear head and a warm heart »
