the examination. Their ability to explain complex topics will be instrumental in preparing you for the exam.
ANDREAS SFIKOURIS (BSc, MSc, CFA)
Andreas is a CFA Charterholder since 2012 and has a BSc
in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of
Bristol and an MSc in Finance from Imperial College
Business School. He has over 10 years’ experience both
from the banking industry and the financial advisory
sector. Through his banking experience he has been
involved in structuring PPP/ PFI project finance type
financings for infrastructure projects mainly for
European based projects such as highways, railways and
renewable energy power stations. As a financial advisor,
he has worked on various engagements whose scope
covered areas such as valuations, privatizations and
debt restructuring for both public and private
companies from different sectors including financial
services, retail, real estate and manufacturing. He is
currently a finance manager for a global tech company
and is responsible for supporting the financial planning
activities for the company’s financial sector MEA
activity. Andreas has also delivered lectures leading to
the CFA Level I exam.
CHRISTOS VOTSIS (BSc, MSc, CFA)
Christos has been a CFA Charterholder since 2006. His
other credentials include an MSc in Investment
Management (CASS Business School), a BSc in Business
Administration (Cardiff University) and a certificate in
Asset Management (Agence de Transfer de Technologie
Financière, Luxembourg). He is a financial professional
since 2003 and his career has been split between
Corporate Finance and buy side Investment Research.
His experience ranges from the valuation of highly
complicated exotic financial instruments to the
completion of multi-million M&A deals. He is also a
highly experienced instructor and since 2010 has held
part-time University lecturer positions and delivered
numerous professional seminars. Currently, he manages
the equity participations of a large Financial Institution
and is also the founder of Analytica Financial Solutions
Ltd, a company specialized in financial intelligence
solutions.
DEMETRIS NICOLAOU (BSc, MBA, CFA)
Demetris Nicolaou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance &
Economics and an MBA from the American University in
Washington, DC. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds
advanced Certificates of Professional Competence from
CySEC. He previously served as President of the CFA Society
of Cyprus. Demetris was the Chief Financial Officer of D.
Nicolaou & Sons Ltd; previously he worked at Alpha Bank
as Head of Asset Management and in the USA at Emerging
Markets Management as Co-Portfolio Manager. Demetris
is a Non-Executive Director of Axia Ventures, an investment
banking firm. He is also a Non-Executive Director of
Hanseatic Capital Management, a fund management
company with expertise in shipping. Demetris is a Certified
Trainer by the Human Resource Development Authority
(HRDA) and teaches courses in Risk Management, Portfolio
Management, Ethics, Derivatives, Financial Planning,
Investment Planning, Anti Money Laundering, MiFID II and
more. Demetris has also delivered lectures leading to the
CFA Level I exam.
SOPHOCLES SOPHOCLEOUS (BA, FRM, PRM, CFA)
A Fulbright scholar and Chartered Financial Analyst, he
currently manages institutional money based on his
proprietary equity strategy (fatalpha.com) which combines
quantitative value methods with qualitative analysis.
Sophocles also teaches an applied investments course and
organizes the Cyprus Value Investor Conference (an annual
by-invitation gathering of fund managers). He has also
taught and prepared candidates for the CFA Level I exam in
the past. He spent over 11 years with London-based EM
fund manager Argo Capital Management as Executive
Director. Previously, he was employed in the brokerage
and the investment banking industry. Sophocles graduated
from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a
double major in Economics and Finance. He has also
earned the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional
Risk Manager (PRM) qualifications.

Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) you need to complete the respective HRDA application form and submit
it back to us dully completed, signed, and stamped at SPSNicosia@cycollege.ac.cy prior seminar’s start date. THE NET
