The property was built in 1987 and purchased by Midroc Ethiopia in 1999. Today
the hotel is managed by the Dubai based Constellation Hospitality group under
a franchise agreement with Marriott International for the Sheraton brand. With
over 30 years of successful operations, the Sheraton Djibouti continues to be the
oldest and most iconic international hotel in the country.

The property has hosted many international delegations and top VIPs
throughout its rich history, cementing it as the country’s premier destination
for luxury hospitality. The company also holds a concession and operates
land in Moucha island. Its proximity by boat to the island makes Sheraton
and an ideal destination for those spending the weekend in Djibouti.
