David Mains<br />
Marti Capodiferro<br />
David Mains plays the piano and<br />
sings. While his wife Joanie served in<br />
the U.S. Air Force, David had many<br />
opportunities to entertain people in<br />
several states and across Europe. He<br />
brings over 35 years of entertainment<br />
experience to the Lake Placid <strong>Caladium</strong><br />
<strong>Festival</strong>. He routinely plays the grand<br />
piano for the Contemporary Service<br />
every Sunday at First Presbyterian<br />
Church of Lake Placid in the Genesis<br />
Center. David’s performance style is to<br />
offer audience members the opportunity<br />
to “select a song” from his play list<br />
of 200. David is semi-retired, works as<br />
a paralegal at Karlson Law Group in<br />
Lake Placid and volunteers his time at<br />
church.<br />
Marti has honed her musical talents<br />
on many stages over the years. She<br />
creates a unique mix of pop, opera,<br />
standards, show and movie tunes,<br />
country and patriotic music. Marti<br />
takes you on a journey. When a song<br />
reaches her ears and dives straight into<br />
her heart, she learns it and makes it her<br />
own. That is her unique gift. She can<br />
sing in any style, and is blessed with a<br />
vast vocal range. In addition to opening<br />
the festival each day with her beautiful<br />
rendition of the National Anthem, she<br />
will make guest appearances.<br />
