Academic Excellence
Our Lady’s offers a unique professional mentoring program, delivered in
partnership with the University of Queensland. High performing Year 11
students are paired with mentors - professionals in their fi eld - who provide
valuable insight into a chosen career path. Every student is given support to
achieve their academic potential through a school-wide mentoring program.
Staff members, from the College Principal through to classroom teachers,
meet regularly with students to monitor their progress and set goals.
Creative Excellence
Students are offered an extensive variety of activities within and outside the
classroom to broaden their experiences and express their creativity. Girls may
choose to become involved in bands, choir, cultural dance groups, musical
productions, Robotics and Coding Club, Drama Club and STEM Cell Club.
The College also embraces creative learning in the classroom. This innovative
approach to learning is the result of dedicated, enthusiastic teachers who
take standard curriculum and transform lessons, making them relatable,
interesting and fun.
Sporting Excellence
Students are encouraged to pursue their sporting interests through the
Catholic Secondary Schoolgirls’ Sports Association (CaSSSA) competition.
Sports offered include AFL, volleyball, indoor cricket, netball, soccer, touch
football and basketball.
Students are given opportunities to represent the school at an interschool
level in the swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. Girls may be
selected for composite district teams with the opportunity to go through to
the Metropolitan East regional level and state levels of competition.
